Honestly so disappointed with our stay here. We have stayed at multiple Disney resorts and this one was absolutely sub par. First- the resort is SO spread out it’s impossible to get anywhere. You can’t get to the food, gift shop or anywhere by car (or by walking). You have to take a bus. There isn’t a bus that goes directly to the pool, so you either have to take 2 buses or walk an insane amount. We paid a crazy high fee for the cabin, only for the resort to be truly disappointing. It would have been better if we had stayed off property. Having the food area (or transportation to the parks) be accessible only by bus (a bus to get to the bus or boat) is insane. There was nothing magical about this resort. I feel robbed for what we paid & what we received. I would never recommend this resort to anyone. Also even for a $3,000+ cabin (for only a week) they still want you to pay $75 dollars pert DAY to rent a golf cart so you can go get some lunch… it’s absolutely disgusting. The price gouging her is ridiculous and the resort is completely sub par and inaccessible (especially if you have a disability).
Stayed here with the family for a long weekend and had a phenomenal time. There are lots of trails to explore, playgrounds, swimming pool, and stables. The cabins are cozy, tidy, and well-maintained, and were just large enough for me, my wife, and our four kiddos. We rented a golf cart and explored all the pathways; we experienced the Campfire Singalong with Chip and Dale which the kids absolutely loved; we rode the ponies at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, explored Pioneer Hall and the Meadow Trading Post, and of course, roasted (and burned) plenty of marshmallows. We plan to return, and I highly recommend this location.
This was my second time staying here. The cabins are very roomy and well constructed. Full kitchen, large bathroom and bedroom, plenty of parking space. Bus access is within walking distance. There are plenty of things to do around the campground, fishing, fires, swimming, horse stuff, boating, gold carts, and the list goes on. The trading posts have everything you need and more! Davey Crocketts tavern was delicious. I'd recommend the fries, whatever they season them in......Holy moses, pizza wasn't bad either. Drink selection was nice, although I had some sort of berry concoction that tasted like deodorant, the stick kind, not the spray kind, so stay away from that, but the other drinks were delicious!
I am not a huge fan of Disney in general. My children and wife LOVE it. This is just about the ONLY place I will stay when vacationing to the Disney parks. The campgrounds are peaceful, and it's enjoyable to still have that "wild" feel while being at Disney. I was able to get some beautiful photos while there last time with many opportunities to see wildlife (turkey, deer, squirrels, birds, etc.). My children also had an absolute BLAST driving the carts around to look at inflatables (near Halloween). We must have put 100 miles on the carts while we were there. The old cabins weren't great, and I have yet to stay in the new ones.
We camped here in our new RV. Which we named Figment! We had a great time. Really looking forward to returning. Our many many years of visiting Walt Disney World this was the first time we stayed on property!
