The Campground Michigan

Ryan and Julie and their girls are the best campground owners ever! They are inclusive, inviting and so fun to hang out with! Even with every site full the campground was so clean, the bathhouse was spotless all the time. They have so many toys and activities for the kids to entertain themselves with. I can’t wait to come back!

What a great family friendly environment the owners have created. The kids loved the playground. Bath house/restrooms, laundry room was always kept in pristine condition. Our children loved playing with all the other kids that were there. The pond was great for swimming on the hot days. Our dogs loved being able to go on the trails. It was great seeing that the campground is centered around Jesus without ever pressuring anyone or making them feel uncomfortable. This is a great campground in northern Michigan. We will for sure be back!

Love spending our summers at this campground! Ryan & Julie & their girls are amazing people. This campground is always peaceful, well kept & has some great family activities! Bathrooms are super clean, lots of games for kids & adults both, trails to walk & a pond to swim & fish to name a few. We have met the most wonderful people at this campground and can’t wait for more adventures here.

We all want that quintessential summer experience for our families. You know the one, camping, new friends, old friends, s’mores, dirt, swimming, popsicles, more dirt, the sun poking through the trees as you hike a hidden trail looking for a fairy garden…You can find that and more at The Campground Michigan in Manton. The community at The Campground is nothing I have ever experienced. Our boys have created lasting friendships with the kids they have met over the last two summers. My husband and I have found and formed friendships with a group of parents that can relate to this stage of life. Our neighbors were retired and became the Grandparents of the campground. They made us all cookies and spoiled our kids. It’s amazing how fast communities and friendships can be formed at a campground. This is the type of summer setting I have always wanted for our boys. They ride their bikes through the trails, fish and swim in the pond, play baseball and climb whatever structure they can find. There is a hidden swinging tree in the woods down a trail and a Chapel in the Woods located at the very back of the property. Enchanting. The grounds are well kept, the showers and bathrooms are EXTREMELY well maintained in both function and cleanliness. The community of Manton itself is quaint and welcoming. Lake Michigan is about an hour away. The town of Cadillac is approximately 15 minutes south.

Why can’t you give 6 stars because they deserve it? The activities and the staff were incredible. We were there for an event but we want to go back again and again. The sites are easy to navigate and the facilities are well maintained.

Great campground with lots of amenities and a nice trail to hike on. Kids loved fishing in the pond. We used dry flies and midges and were catching and releasing bluegills all weekend! 10/10
