Guests have praised the hotel for its friendly staff, including Brian at the front desk and Cassandra, who not only handled housekeeping but also prepared breakfast. The property has been described as very clean and warmly decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere for visitors. The breakfast service was also highlighted as a standout feature, with guests enjoying a hearty start to their day.
However, some reviews have pointed out areas where the hotel could improve. One guest mentioned that while the photos of the hotel are appealing, the rooms and hallways felt old and in need of updating. Additionally, the elevator was noted as slow and limited in functionality, which may be inconvenient for guests with mobility issues.
While The Chandler at White Mountains offers a comfortable base for exploring the White Mountains region, some guests feel that the price does not fully reflect the quality of amenities provided. Those expecting more luxurious accommodations or modern facilities might find this hotel less appealing.

Customer Reviews
The location of this hotel is great. My family stayed here to visit the Ice Castles. It was about a 25 minute scenic drive from there. The front desk clerk was so friendly. I believe his name was Brian. The housekeeper Cassandra, who also did breakfast was amazing. The hotel was very clean, warm and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing too. We really enjoyed our visit.
The nice photos of the hotel are misleading. The rooms are old and floor are dirty. The rugs in halls are dirty. The elevator is very slow. Breakfast is minimal. With the price we paid $400/night, we expected a warm breakfast! The elevator only shows 3 floors, but definitely there is a floor above us, with kids running, and people chatting late into the nights. May be some secret paths that are not available to regular guests? There were Jewish women and many children spreading out on the first floor common hall in the late afternoon. They appeared keeping to themselves and avoided making any contacts. Bathrooms on first floor are without toilet tissues! No daily room cleaning! Not worth the price.
This is a newer hotel with nice furnishings and nicely designed. Rooms are roomy and bright. Staff is so friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Also they gave the coolest faux fire I've ever seen in the lobby!
If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the summertime, this isn't it.The staff was very nice and our room appeared to be clean, but the walls and windows were very thin. There were huge groups of families visiting and the kids were completely unsupervised running and screaming in the halls nonstop. It sounded like the people in the room above us were going to come through our ceiling, and we almost hit 2 small children in the parking lot when they darted in front of our truck without a parent in sight. I'm aware this isn't entirely the hotels fault, but clearly there has been a standard set that this is acceptable. I was really looking forward to a quiet relaxing weekend away and this was definitely not it.
Good: Location, big, quiet and clean rooms, comfortable and clean beds, check in was polite and attentive, free parking. Bad: Breakfast far under average esp in this price category, misses freshness and warm food. Plastic orgy at breakfast, every single food item is packed by hand (in front of the guests!) in a lil plastic bag. Trashcan overflow and dirty floor from the day before at 7 am in the morning when breakfast begins. Staff there partially appears unmotivated and not very friendly. Room service only by request.
