If I could give more stars I would. I stayed with a group of 15 at the eco camp. The property itself is gorgeous, and you could spend the day exploring it. Location wise it was a short drive to several cool hikes, we did one at Lake Hope. Now to our stay, each yurt had a heater, and a heated blanket so we stayed nice and toasty when it was cold outside! The main hangout space around the campfire was great, and we utilized the picnic tables by the airstream. Alex has thought of everything. He hand delivered us warm muffins and croissants in the morning, wood for the fire, and was just an overall delight. There is an outdoor shower to use, and even a hot tub. Our group had nothing but rave reviews for our stay. It was so fun, and seamless. Alex went above and beyond for us during our stay. And we cannot wait for our next stay!
Absolutely incredible stay at The Eco Camp! Perfect in between for tent and cabin camping with a bed, mini fridge and option for AC in the yurt. The host Alex is extremely accommodating and made the experience that much better. About 40 minutes to most of the hikes. Highly recommend to anyone who is visiting the Hocking Hills area!
We camped here with my family and had a great experience. The tents were really nice and the camp had all the amenities we needed and more. The best part was the customer service. The camp manager gave us a tour of everything upon arrival and was just a text away if we needed anything at all. They even filled our coolers with fresh ice for us when we were out hiking. 10/10 would stay here again.
We stayed here while checking out the Hocking Hills area and would definitely recommend it! The setup was really cool with the camping area in a field surrounded by nature. The tents were spacious with a bed and a couple chairs and space for us to set up a travel crib for our toddler. There were a couple fire pit areas with a lot of camping chairs and a cooking area setup with a grill and all cooking utensils/dishes. Alex was an awesome host and very hospitable. Definitely a must stay if you’re looking for a cool glamping experience!
This was our second stay at The Eco Camp and just like our first back in March, we had a great time! The tent was very comfortable and warm for staying the first weekend in November. The owner Alex was excellent at giving us our privacy but also being available any time we needed something. This is a great way to unplug and enjoy nature while also staying in a really cool retreat. Don't be nervous about staying in the colder months! Lots of hiking to do and very warm tents! We will 100% be back very soon. This is quickly turning into a tradition.
Alex is a great host and works hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. A few small things around camp went wrong, but Alex was a text away and responded quickly to fix any of our problems. We had forgotten a pan and knife for cooking, and Alex lent them to us. Make sure to give pets to Archer, his pet beagle! The property is nestled in between Athens and Hocking Hills, so you have quick access to the parks and shops for whatever you may need. While there was no cell service in the parking area, once we got to the campsite, we had great service. I recommend downloading the local area map for offline use on Google Maps.
The scenery was my main interest and it exceeded my expectations. My family and I loved everything about it !! Some people were feeling homesick and Alex made us feel like The Eco Camp was where we belonged, Archer or Archie as the kids called him was a pleasure to be around and loved the kids ! If you’re looking for a weekend getaway that’s kid friendly and surrounded with nature , The Eco Camp is the place to go!!
Alex was super kind and accommodated our needs no matter how late!! We were all feeling a little homesick but he went out of his way to get us a little something to make the camp feel like home , also Archer is in fact very kid friendly and LOOOVEESS kid so much . I really recommend The Eco Camp . 10000/10 experience, I’m going to remember this for years to come !! :)
