You will get to experience the best of Washington on this backpacking trail, featuring stunning lakes throughout. The Aasgard Pass offers a brutal challenge yet an enjoyable scramble. The stretch to Snow Lake is fun and beautiful. However, the last 9 miles may feel monotonous. Overall, a rewarding adventure for nature enthusiasts.

Nice hike, but be careful not to book trailhead shuttle from Leavenworth Shuttle. They are a scam. Would cancel rides without letting you know yet still charge you (I had to wait in the cold and darkness for 30min, until some hikers kindly let me ride with them)🤷 plus their staff was super rude and kept lying when I tried to ask for a refund. Ridiculous

The Enchantments are absolutely spectacular and have some of the most incredible views I’ve ever seen! However, doing the through hike in one day is NOT worth it. Do everything you can to try and get a permit for a multiple day stay. It’s an extremely difficult trail, even for experienced hikers (like my partner and I). We departed the departed the Stuart Lake trailhead at 3am and didn’t get back to the Snow Lakes trailhead until 9pm. We spent a total of 15 hours hiking with 3 hours worth of breaks in a span of 21 miles (it is not 18 miles as listed). A majority of the “trail” was directed by karins because there wasn’t an actual designated route. I thought the climb up Aasgard Pass was going to be the most challenging part, but that downhill put it to shame. Be prepared for some sore knees. This place is magnificent, but hiking it in one day doesn’t let you embrace the beauty of the area. We did see 3 mountain goats and one black bear so be prepared to see wildlife!

We did a through hike starting from Stuart lake trailhead Aug 2024. Overall, magnificent place, one of the toughest hike, lot of endurance needed. The weather however was not the best with rain, snow and sleet.

Visited this place with some old friends had a great experience. You can swim around the lake. The trail was cheap and intense, but you will feel the use when you get into the lake, which gives you a cool breeze and makes you feel refreshed and energetic. Make sure you take all your protein bars and some snacks.
