Pierce is the best camp host that I have ever had. Not only is he friendly, but he also respects campers privacy. Never have I had a camp host quite like him. Outside of this, though, it was also one of the best campgrounds I have been to in Arkansas. The waterfall trail gives you access to views better than Devils Den, there is a clean outhouse and a shower with hot water. There are level, covered platforms, tent only sites, and drive in sites. As for accessing the campground: turn left when GPS coordinates end, and stay on the road. There are ATV trails connected to the road going to the site labeled with yellow circles you will want to avoid going down at all costs. It is really hard to avoid this as long as you pay attention and follow signage. I will definitely be back!

We were trying to camp at Steele Creek but it was full and The High Ground saved us. It is only about 15 min to Ponca. It has spacious tent sites, a bathroom and a heated shower. I think they have about 6 tent sites, some cool covered sites, waterfall trail and more. You won't be disappointed.
