Amazing location and great price for tye cabins. Cabins are clean and comfy. Their simplicity adds to the experience of disconnecting from the city life. The people working here are also very nice and carrying. I just wish the codes for the doors for the bathrooms/showers would work every time and not just randomly. Some more lanterns/lights outside when it gets dark would also be helpful.

Tiny huts but very clean and comfortable to sleep with two people. There is a warm shower and toilets at a different building too, the only thing I would recommend is to add some flood light between the cabins, which will make it safer to walk after dark.

The staff here were great! They held onto our bags when we arrived early so we could explore the area before the WCT. Rooms were small but comfortable, shared bathrooms were clean and worked just fine. Beds were super comfy.

🗣️ “I call top bunk!” What a memorable start to our West Coast Trail adventure. The Hiker Huts are basic, as advertised, but they’re also very charming. The sheets and fleece blankets are clean, the beds are comfortable, the two shared bathrooms are private, and the keyless entry is ultra convenient. The long front window in our cabin did not have a curtain, but it’s easy enough to stand behind the door to change. Our cabin (Cabin “I”) included two wall outlets as well as a baseboard heater, which warmed the small space quickly. We were able to park in front of the cabins, which was great for loading/unloading our gear. The Coastal Kitchen Cafe is right across the street and the Renfrew Pub is right down the road. Will 100% stay here again, as it really added to our overall experience. Don’t forget to pack a towel and toiletries! 2024 Update: We just had our second stay at the Hiker Huts, this time in Cabin “J”. While we loved the hut itself, and the bathrooms were once again very clean, we were disappointed that there was a smoking area nearby, right next to Cabin “H”. The smoke was blowing into our cabin and we had to close the window and door to prevent the smell from overwhelming us. This happened multiple times during our stay. Cross your fingers there won’t be any frequent smokers on the premises when you visit. 🚬⤵️🗑️

The only affordable accommodations for hundreds of kms. Exactly as described and pictured on the Hikers Huts website and portrayed in guests' reviews. Port Renfrew and the journey from Victoria is beautiful. Needs more toilets: there are about 10 huts with at least two beds in each, but only two toilets on the property. Think about it for a minute. Add in the demand in the morning and leading up to check out time. Add in there are few toilets between Victoria and Port Renfrew, and you arrive and both are occupied. Need more showers. Only two on the property. Add in the new travellers' spirit of hogging resources and destroying common areas.
