The Hungry Trout Resort

Didn’t stay at the hotel but dined at the restaurant after a long day of hiking up Whiteface Mountain. Holy crap - this place hit the spot. Kasey was an awesome serve and the food was delicious. Ate our way from apps to desserts with great drinks in between. Restaurant was warm and welcoming with comforting ambiance. Warm lighting with Christmas decorations up with cozy fireplace. Highly recommend - would love to come back

This restaurant is now added to the favorites! My boyfriend and I dined in to eat dinner. We both highly respect trout fishing, so of course we ordered trout for our main dishes. First off, the atmosphere is so cozy and very well presented. It was nice and quiet (not busy) when we ate dinner here. The staff was so welcoming and nice, giving us background on where they get the trout that is cooked and giving recommendations from the menu. The food was incredible, I don’t think I took a breath while eating HAHA it was awesome. The view while eating was just beautiful and peaceful. Definitely one of the coolest locations for a restaurant. Perfect portion sizes, and we also got dessert that was great (we normally don’t get dessert out). Would HIGHLY recommend.

Amazing resteraunt! Unbeatable atmosphere and some great staff to go along with it, and I can't forget to mention the food. Absolutely delicious! There are plenty of great options, and usually, the restaurant isn't the busiest. Overall, it is one of the best restaurants in the area. Highly recommended!

The location is absolutely beautiful, the rooms were clean and cozy. Matt the owner of this resort is the most nicest human you'll ever meet. He went above and beyond to help us on an extremely snowy night where we had issues with our car and some other things as well. Will definitely come back to this beautiful resort whenever I'm in this area. Definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the Adirondack mountains.

So, the mashed potatoes were the worst thing on my plate and they were amazing. Unbelievably good. Wow. I had the Adirondack special with duck, venison and smoked trout. Hands down, best meal I've had in 10 years.
