Customer Reviews
The Inn at Death Valley is a gem in the middle of the desert. It blends historic charm with modern comfort, offering stunning views, a spring-fed pool, and peaceful vibes. The rooms are cozy, the service is friendly, and the on-site dining is solid - try the date bread! The surrounding natural wonders are incredible—breathtaking hikes, surreal landscapes, and unbeatable desert sunsets. February is the perfect time to visit, with ideal weather for exploring. Definitely worth the stay!
I wish I could give this property five stars as I was hoping for a 5-star experience. The staff is generally very helpful, welcoming, and charming and the property itself is beautiful and well appointed. However, I have to compare this property not to other hotel options in the area, but rather to other hotels that cost around $500 per night. In that comparison, the value falls short. First, the wifi service is sub-standard and only worked for us intermittently and slowly. The rooms are comfortable with high-quality beds and furnishings, but the walls between the rooms are thin. We heard the headboard banging from the room next door. The thermostat also doesn't allow one to set a temp, but rather only warmer or cooler. On the "coolest" setting, it wasn't cool enough for me and I had to open the window.
This hotel is absolutely stunning - the reviews should be higher! Ideal location in the middle of the valley and just gorgeous historic interiors! Our room was basic but lovely, the heated swimming pool is beautiful especially at night! The star gazing terrace is spectacular - highly recommend! Great friendly staff and nice restaurant! The only thing I would say is more parking needed! Otherwise fantastic hotel!
The rooms are somewhat dated. The food options are limited but you’re in a historic hotel that was built in 1927. We stayed in the main part of the hotel and being inside the park is what you are paying for. Definitely go to the pool. The pool is from hot springs but it is hot but comfortable and a large pool for a hotel. I love the old time feel of the hotel.
We recently stayed here for our anniversary. The resort was really great! It is like a perfect oasis in the middle of the desert. It has a pool, sauna, spa, garden... The rooms are great as well. Each room has a great view. The room has all the amenities needed for your stay. It is a bit overpriced, but the the amenities and the location is great. One downside I can think of is the restaurant. It is extremely overpriced and the menu is very limited. The drinks were good, but we didn't like the main course at all. We ordered the chicken, which was super bland and dry, the pasta was average. The desserts were good. I feel like the restaurants at the Ranch at Death Valley are much better, given the taste and price.
