The Last Resort

Wow 🤩 just wow . If I had to sum up our 1 day experience at last resort that is the only real words to describe it . The lake is 100% clean and well taken care of. The staff or id say man in charge is not only super friendly but also very helpful with anything you might have left at home . We stumbled upon this place on a family visit to see my wife’s Grandfather, my kids were dying to go fishing and the plan was find a place after the visit . While there he mentioned this place said he would show us the way after we leave. As soon as we arrive the owner tells us the rules of the lake and warns us not to fish with anything under 20lb line . At that point I realize I don’t have 20lb line ,no hooks ,no weights ,nothing but the poles that were ready for Bass. But to my rescue it he owner had all the supplies I needed right there as well as cold drinks and bait . We had the BEST catfishing experience I’ve ever had my entire life and I can tell you my kids will never forget it as they beg me to go back constantly. Soon as we eat the rest of our 50lbs of catfish we brought back home we will most definitely be back . This time probably better equipped as I would say 20lb line really not big enough I’m going with minimum 30 lb . The BIGGEST CATFISH I’ve ever caught or seen other than on tv me an my boys took home that night with plenty more big bites and fish that broke my line before I could get a net on them . Thanks again for memories me or my family will never forget ps I’ve attached photos of the 35lb fish we brought home .

Took my family fishing here one of the best times we have ever had . Great place, Super clean , and the owner was top notch. All bait and tackle you need he has on hand just incase you forget anything. I would recommend bringing a picnic and maybe a cooler with some drinks as this is a remote style location. If you like to catfish this is definitely the place for you . My son caught the biggest catfish I’ve ever seen caught right at 35lbs . Definitely recommend for the fisherman and the family.

Wonderful place! Clean and wide open. Excellent catfishing. Your wallet is Your only limit. Fish cleaner on site. Fish tastes great. Great way to enjoy time with kids and grandkids. April 30th. Went back today with my wife. Caught 43 lbs in less than two hours. And even though it rained a bit we had a BLAST!!! Used nightcrawler: shrimp, and liver. Just a tip. Use a size 8 circle hook and set it 3 feet from your bobber.

Had an amazing time. Fish were bitting. I caught a fish as soon as casted out. One right after another! I recommend this place to anyone.

Me and my 2 sons drove 1 hr from Atlanta to come here and we had such a great time. I would definitely come back.
