• "We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay at The Oaks Resort. It is secluded enough that you can relax and enjoy privacy in this semi-rustic location, and our cabin had a large-screen TV for days when it rained. You could see a deer grazing, a large snapping turtle sticking his head up near the dock each night, and bluegill easily seen from the dock. A swimming island is visible and accessed nearby, and, of course, there are kayaks, a paddleboard, row boats, and a pedal boat which are all shared among the guests. This is exactly the kind of place we were looking for on Spider Lake, one of my favorite lakes in the Traverse City area. Kathleen was able to answer all of our questions and was very receptive to the needs of the guests. The photos of the cabins are very accurate. What you see is what you get. It's homey, fun, and relaxing. What more could you want?"
