The Point at Lake Hartwell

This place was awful. We were supposed to stay for two nights for the Clemson Carolina game and only ended up staying one. To start with All the handles to the plumbing fixtures were loose literally felt like they were going to fall off, power outlets hanging out the walls, water damaged wholes, house roaches, there was dog hair on the couch, what looked to be pubic hair on the bed, but hey if you’re hungry there were some crumbs on the bed also, the flooring was coming apart and it felt like it was rotted underneath, dirt everywhere, we tried to use the stove and it smelt like dead burning animal when turned on, the dishes were absolutely disgusting, there was crusty brown stuff on the towel, the toilet and bathtub leaked. I definitely would not recommend this place at all. We would’ve rather stayed in the car. Almost all the campers there are permanent residents who were playing music and riding ATVs all around (like 12:30 at night). It just wasn’t a good experience at all.

Kim, the manager, is super nice. I only met her a couple months ago and my first impression was...she's very nice and has a kind hear. And boy was I right. Mike and Kim worked together with another guy there, sorry can't remember his name, because our power went out twice. And they came over both times and helped us. Not to mention when we first came there they were very informative. We asked alot of questions and still do lol. We're new to camper life and they, along with the residents here, have made it very pleasant for us. We love it here. Thank you Mrs Kim and your staff for being understanding and patient with us as well as being sooo kind. I'm giving yall 5 stars!! ❤️ 😍

Place is a dump. 345.00 for 2 days in a cabin that was a storage shed converted to a so called cabin. A 5250 btu air conditioner in a window and, the filter was never cleaned. I know because I cleaned it. Bathroom smells of mildew as they use a cloth shower curtain. (Should be plastic) the shower head is something out of jail. Spay mist at best. Shower room on property is in disrepair and they need to install benches in shower rooms. I will never go back. 345.00 for 2 nights. I would be more comfortable sleeping in my car!

Very quiet campground. We stayed in a cabin and it was very nice for a campground cabin. Much larger than usual. Pool was great and clean. Employees were seen working on things and cleaning things the whole week. Kids enjoyed the playground. Only downside was the internet was very spotty but to be expected because of location and the hot water didn’t stay hot very long. Overall we had a great time and we will probably return in the future!

Everything about this place is trash. I have never ever had to talk to corporate for anything. Until i came here. My family and I came from texas for the first time to south carolina and they made our experience of south carolina the worse . Made us think south carolina wasnt for us and we couldnt believe people acted this way here. Basically everyone there embarrassed south carolina nothing of what we had heard. They are truly rv trash and people even have signs saying it like is cute🥴 they would pick on us 24/7 when we literally wouldnt mess with a soul there. We didnt care to. We like staying to ourselves but they sure didnt . They always had something to say until i got a hold of corporate they literally never bothered me again. We still left cause eww we just couldnt deal with everything there. Definitely hope one day they try southern texas hospitality they would be amazed and maybe take notes. The manager there would come up to us DRUNK at 1245am AFTER QUIET time to tell us we couldnt have a fridge unless it was completely boxed in with a lock. My cameras recorded everything. Yet we have tons of pics with everyone having fridges without being “boxed or locked” once i sent corporate footage of how backwards they were they left me alone. Then the next day complained that we went over past quiet time cause my truck was on. Literally. Not a noise nothing just my truck being on. They were “bothered”when they were partying themselves way past quiet time. We were just trying to settle in. 5 mins past quiet time they would come tell us “everyone”was complaining . But they could go over an hour. The next day everyone would be fake and wouldnt say a word to us. Like nothing happened when supposedly they were complaining. We dont even party drink nothing but we liked sitting in the truck and talking and they would be bothered. I guess their music and screaming was ok? Which i also have recordings of. Also the manager tried sneaking in about 3 am into my canopy that we also caught on camera . That place and people are wild. If you do that in texas , i wouldnt be here telling yall the stories right now. You can not be creeping into someone elses space without asking at 3am. They are so racist there. Neighbors wouldnt even allow their kids to talk to mines. I really kept my calm as i wanted to start fresh in sc and be a different calm person. So i decided to leave before i got myself introuble. Please believe the reviews. You smell weed there, they are loud and partying all the time and it doesnt look like pictures other people below me are right. Nothing as pictured just trashed down. We have never had such an experience would never go there would never recommend staying there and they sure do have their people always looking up on you as someone else above me stated. I hope eventually after so many bad reviews they change management. Thankfully we found an amazing place to stay that have changed our whole perspective of south carolina. Sweetest people my kids met friends etc. Found out it wasnt sc it was just this disgusting trash park. I have all cameras and receipts. There are many other amazing rv parks avoid this one!!!!🤮 Update to the “owners comment back”, rules that everyone there signed and you yourself never followed. How disgusting of yourself. Proof i did emailed the moment corporate sent email address to me i emailed it all and if anyone wants it i have it . And third. You are sure right, yall made sc look like crap and wasnt worth me getting into trouble for. Is why i did things correctly and will still do til this day. And at the end of the day there is many negative comments about the manager the husband even getting into fights what?🥴and so much more so safe to say i didnt lie about anything i said. And you gave me a last notice, you didnt evict me. We chose to leave because of the racist treatment we got. After that last notice you swore we wouldnt be there til the 30th but we were. Because i got a hold of corporate of the type of people yall really are. Hope one day yall get shut down or change🤮gluck.
