love this place, decent size and quiet overall. some dogs barking but owners are responsible. bring your bug spray though! lots of mosquitos and some horse or deer flys. summer days are nice but it can still get pretty cold at night if you’re in a tent
Circle 8 is first and foremost a Square Dance and Round Dance Camp. And what a great camp it is! Camp sites - great! Hiking and biking trails - great! Swimming and canoeing/kayaking lake - great! Support staff - super great! Dancing to terrific callers with friendly joyful dancers - greatest!
Nice place to spend some time in the Cascade mountains near Cle Elum and to do some square and/or round dancing. We were only able to stop for one day, but found the place very enjoyable. Good dance hall, where they have dance weeks or you can just drop in for a session. Cost us $6/person to dance to Mike Sikorsky. $35 for one night stay in the RV with water and electric. RV dump is available on site. Bathroom and shower house seemed new. They were easily the cleanest and nicest I have ever encountered at a campground type RV park. Beware though, take a quarter with you for the pay shower. 25 cents gets you 5 minutes of hot water... plenty unless washing long hair. The shower has more hooks than you can need, plus a seat and shelf. The small lake has ducks, a dock, a canoe, but be careful for the dog pooh, as some dogs are allowed to just wander and poop. The manager, wagon master, Jan, is friendly and helpful. If you arrive when the office is closed, just call and she comes. We had heard of Circle 8 for years and are happy to have finally seen it. It is a small place with only about 50 sites, plus a few cabins. We hope someday to return for an entire week of dancing.
Great place for camping and square dancing. The crew is fantastic. Great job Doug and Jennifer along with Art and Sandy
Probably the best Square Dance owned camp on the Pacific Northwest. Well managed, maintained, and attended every summer.
