The Rez

Words can’t fully capture how amazing this place is! The views are breathtaking, the cabins are cozy and comfortable, and the hospitality is top-notch. You can really see the owner’s craftsmanship and care in every detail. This place is a true hidden gem. There are also plenty of things to do nearby, like visiting a scenic overlook, a local brewery, hiking trails, a river/swimming hole, and Brushy Mountain Penitentiary is just a short drive away. We absolutely loved it here and can’t wait to visit again!

I spent 2 weekends at The Rez in early spring this year. The cabins are beautifully hand built and sturdy. I was pleased to see how clean and cozy they were with electric heat, A/C, a coffee maker, tea kettle and plenty of charm. There’s a large outdoor kitchen area with electrical hookups and gas grill for preparing meals. JB has literally thought of everything someone could need. There’s lovely clean bathrooms with showers and a sauna for those who wish to utilize it. If you’re looking for peace and harmony you just might find it here at the Rez on the meditation/ sun porch facing the rolling hills and valleys!

Amazing little campground and cabins with unique amenities nestled in the beautiful hills of Eastern Tennessee. Everything is made of cedar and it smells amazing. JB is one of the most personable and hospitable people I’ve ever met. Great place to get away for a peaceful weekends. I will definitely be coming back here!

Had a wonderful one night get away at the Rez! The accommodations were top notch. Fantastic views from the cabin front porch. Beautiful property. JB is a gracious host. I highly recommend The Rez if you are staying in the Morgan County area. We will definitely be back.

The Rez has quickly become our favorite campground near the Obed River National Park. We have tent camped, boon-docked and enjoyed the newly built cabins the Rez has to offer all while exploring the many outdoor activities on the Obed. With the stunning new bathhouse and community cooking pavilion this place makes getting outdoors that much more enjoyable!! JB is a fantastic host who is very knowledgeable about the area with great day hiking, climbing, and water activity suggestions. Did I mention the views? Well, you might have to check those out for yourself ;) We will definitely be returning!

The Rez has become one of our favorite places. The cozy cabins are beautiful along with the view you wake up to over the hillside. He upped the ante with a cush outdoor bathhouse. Basically, private bathroom shower suites with heated floors! There’s also an outdoor cooking area, pavilion, fire pit, yoga deck, and sauna with an outdoor tub. All of this is a short (as in less than a half mile) jaunt to both the entrances of Obed Wild and Scenic River and Lilly Pad Hopyard Brewery. JB is a gracious and entertaining host and we always appreciate the extra mile he goes to make sure we’re taken care of. The Rez is a wonderful retreat that he has perfectly carved out amongst Mother Nature and is definitely worth the stay!
