We only stopped by for an overnight stay on the way to Nashville. The location is beautiful and on the river. The hotel was quiet, and clean. The only draw back was it stated breakfast was included. The breakfast was just a bunch of prepackaged items. We would like to come back, stay a little longer and explore the beautiful town
The location is perfect. Just off of main street. Quiet and right on the river. Staff was friendly. Rooms were decent sized. That is all the good I can say. The rooms are outdated and cleanliness was an issue. Mold and mildew in the shower and sink. It was obvious not everything was wiped clean. It is pet friendly and it is obvious. During our visit there was a pile of dog doo doo just sitting in the hall area that leads to the rooms. There was also dog doo doo smeared into the outside rugs that were located near the stairs leading to the second floor. The room also was missing the inner door latch lock. This place is in the perfect location and could absolutely be a nice place, unfortunately it has a lot left to be desired. Would recommend staying elsewhere.
The staff is great. My van window broke and the maintenance man brought us some duct tape to hold it up until we can get it fixed! The cabins are old but cozy and the private parking is a happy reprieve in Helen!
Friendly staff, great rates, and clean rooms 10/10 i do recommend!! Right by the river for a great morning or evening stroll. A just a quick walk away from downtown Helen. No need to drink and drive, just wobble and walk back 😃
OK I'll start with the GOOD. The room was clean Staff at check in was friendly. Town is in walking distance The BAD. The bed was hard as a rock. **NOTICE**You will be required to pay a $50.00 security deposit when you make your reservation, wich Iis fine, the problem is getting it back. After waiting 3 weeks I finally started calling to find out when it would be returned to my card. They kept saying it had already been done. I ended up calling the credit card company to assist me in getting it back. After staying here a few times in the past with no problems, I may have to rethink that on future visits.
