The Shelters is a beautiful riverfront primitive campground. It's a great balance of rustic environment while having an amazing grilling area, disc golf, place to fish, axe throw, ATV rental, and other activities.

This is a cool campground. Really unique shelters. Lots of activities.
Awesome experience. Would for sure go back. Great amenities for a rustic outdoor experience. Plenty to do there. Comfortable beds. Good hot showers. The host, Travis, was fantastic and made sure we were well taken care of
Absolutely gorgeous and you couldn't find anymore friendly of staff. Clean cooking supplies on site flint river run through this hidden gem, so come and enjoy the stars and quiet serenity thanks for the hospitality 💯🎯 wheelchair friendly and pets even have a 3D archery range axe throwing .
Just stayed here for two nights. Brought my own hammock setup to sleep in. Plenty of trees. All amenities are provided including refrigerator, microwave, and ice machine with free ice. Thers also a Blackstone which we used a lot. Hot showers were very nice after a long day and there's an area to hose off gear. I went caving and it was nice for us to hose off all the mud off our gear. The staff are very friendly and even gave joy rides mudding in the side by sides. They were also nice enough to share some food. I went shooting near the banks of the river nearby and they helped by giving me a box for a target and showed me a good spot to setup. Overall, I had a fantastic time here and highly recommend. It has been one of the best weekends I've had in years and no doubt this campground was a major part in that. I wouldn't hesitate to come back. This place is the epitome of glamping.
Great place to visit. Been down the river, swam in the springs, and visited many sites in the area. This place is truly adaptive to ANY budget. I suggest checking this place out!!!
