The services and goods provided at The Treehouse Camp At Maple Tree LLC are designed to support its unique lodging options and overall camping experience. The campground offers various types of accommodations:

  • Tree Houses: These are typically three-season (spring-summer-fall) enclosed structures elevated about seven feet off the ground, often with a small deck. They are generally more rustic and may be screened-in, and typically do not include mattresses or wood stoves, requiring guests to bring their own air mattresses or pads, bedding, and lanterns. These are usually for smaller groups.
  • Tree Cottages: These offer a step up in comfort, often including bunks with mattresses, a table with chairs, and sometimes a wood stove, making them available year-round. Guests still need to bring their own bedding and lanterns.
  • Deluxe Tree Houses (e.g., FireFly Deluxe Tree House, Hobbit House): These are often more elaborate and unique structures, potentially offering additional comforts or features. The Hobbit House, for example, is partially underground with a rooftop garden, thatch-covered porch, and may include amenities like two queen beds and even a portable air conditioning unit.
  • Tent Sites: For traditional campers, there are also wooded tent sites varying in size, as well as a large meadow that can accommodate bigger groups.
Regardless of the lodging type, all sites are equipped with an outdoor fire circle, a picnic table, and charcoal grills. The campground facilities include indoor bathrooms with flush toilets and running hot and cold water, which are consistently praised for their cleanliness. A notable feature is the presence of private outdoor hot showers and an indoor heated winter shower, providing a unique and exhilarating bathing experience. A multi-use pavilion is available, often featuring amenities like a foosball table, making it a good gathering space. A well-stocked camp shop (also serving as the office) provides essential goods such as firewood (which must be purchased on-site; no outside firewood is allowed), charcoal, ice, and other food items like frozen steaks, salmon, and chicken, along with forgotten camping items. The campground is pet-friendly, allowing polite dogs on a leash, with owners responsible for cleanup. Free Wi-Fi and excellent cellular reception are generally available, allowing guests to stay connected if desired, even while "unplugging."

I highly recommend The Treehouse Campground for an easy and lovely stay. Getting the reservation was easy online and the email confirmation was quick. Nick at the campground help with our late check-in procedures. We stayed in Beech cottage which was perfect with real, comfortable mattresses. The indoor bathrooms were good as was the outdoor shower and a changing ares that had actual walls and locks. We're already planning a trip back!

This place is great! We stayed at the hedgehog tent site, it was very peaceful and reasonably private. The winter shower is absolutely incredible! Clean, heated room with a big shower stall and plenty of space to change and get ready. For a rustic campground they surprised me with the bathroom access and a store full of essential supplies. It rained our first 2 days there so the charcoal grill they provided came in handy for meals and they even had charcoal for sale in the store! 10/10 would recommend staying at this wonderful campground!

We stayed at Tree House Camp at Maple Tree in Washington County, MD, for my partner's son's birthday, and it was the perfect off-the-grid escape. A cozy tree house cabin, gorgeous valley views, and the kind of quiet that makes you forget your phone exists. The cabin was clean, charming, and surprisingly comfortable for being built into the trees. The staff were kind, the vibe was effortlessly laid-back, and the whole place gave off peaceful forest magic without trying too hard. We’ve already booked three of their specialty cabins for our next visits-because clearly, we love it. Highly recommend if you're into serenity, starry skies, and letting nature run the show.

I absolutely recommend a tree cottage over a tree house because it gave me more room to spread out a little, and the cottage beds have mattresses. (I am just a little above the age where I can quickly recover from sleeping funny. If I sleep wrong, I can't turn around for a couple of days. Sigh.) Louise checked me in and got me all set up. It took all of about 30 seconds. She was super nice. I think I met every adult family member who runs the camp over the 4 days I was there. They were excellent. If you think you might need something after 5 pm, ask them before 5. It really is family-owned and -operated, and they need their rest, too. I will definitely be back, over and over. Lots of privacy, lots of cool birds, lots of quiet. I think this is something I might need every four months or so. Maybe nore.
