great place to tent camp. I've never seen stars as bright as I did here, you could see the galaxy stardust. the beautiful red dirt and the sunrise was one of a kind. definitely an iconic landscape. don't miss this stop!
Let’s face it you’re here for ‘The View’! It’s an absolutely astounding place to camp. The view of the monuments are beautiful, both sunrise and sunset were views I will never forget. The bathrooms and showers were clean and warm. There’s no hookup here so as long as you come prepared you will be fine. Lots of walks starting from the campground and only a few minutes walk from the hotel and gift shop which has WiFi, coffee and food too if you don’t want to cook. Once it’s dark make sure you sit out and enjoy the stars. I’ll never forget this place!
This review is for the campground. The pros: the view is breathtaking... Everywhere you look the scenery is amazing and right in front of you. It's such a chance to able to wake up with a view of the monuments. BUT...for the cons: the campground is on a hill, quite windy (it gets chilly at night, especially in October), and you can't make a fire. You're paying for a spot to park, that's it. The restrooms are warm and clean but lacks hook to hang up your clothes when you're showering. Note that there is no reception or Wi-Fi available. That is great to soak in the view but not so great to share the moment with your overseas family.
We paid for a view here and had the View of the bathroom.... VERY DISAPPOINTING....they wanted you to park facing that way... you could get a much better view anywhere else around at a spot for FREE..... the site was slanted/not level at all... you have to pay when you arrive to enter into the park... the restroom outlet did not work... the one mens toilet was clogged(we told them when we arrived) and never was fixed... we stayed here in September 2024... would not recommend getting a CAMP SPOT HERE... you will waste your money.... like I said, you could get much better views FREE around here.
These aren't Campgrounds. These are Tent Spots anything bigger than the smallest child's 1 person tent will have no space for you to cook, sit, or do anything to enjoy Camping. The site is gorgeous and well maintained. The staff was all perfectly fine. Just know that you aren't in a Camp Site and you will need to eat before your arrival
