Beautiful little campground with 7 spaces. It's on the trail head though so people drive in and out of it day and night. Nice little creek. And we did see a few snakes . No signal at all for t-mobile or Verizon have to drive 30 miles out to gas station for signal.
We had a beautiful spot, it wasn't crowded at all but while setting up camp we noticed how aggressive the bees there were getting and OMG they were everywhere. You could not get away from them! They even stung my dog twice .. Will visit again but may wait till later in the year to avoid the invasion of the angry bee's
This camp ground has about 7-8 campsites all with mature pine trees and metal fire pits and picnic tables all but one site is nestled along a creek . There is a large turn around area and a Atv trail , a out house is located on site .This campground is free of charge. The pictures shown are of a swimming hole across the street in a day use only area with dense shade even a apple tree . No tables , the trail leading down to the swimming hole is not handicap assessable there is a bridge that takes you to a hiking trail , rattlesnakes are common in this area along with cougars on hiking trails . The swimming hole it's self is about 3 feet deep in August and September, there is a small hot spring that is Luke warm when we were there but it was much hotter earlier in the season the hot springs temp changes often , the little pool is like 5 inches deep. This creek is abundant with brook trout some are a very nice size we have seen some at about 12 inches long most likely you will catch a fish hear . This campground and all others in the south hills do not have trash services so it's pack it in pack it out, this one does not have a water picket either. I like this campground because of the swimming hole , some of the campsites are small and close together and others are spacious all of them are set above the water so you have to walk a few feet down a hill to access the stream. This campground is open year-round when plowed. Snowmobilers use these areas . This campground is located 7/12 miles from the pomerell ski area the sledding hill at Diamond field Jacks campground wich is also a snowmobilers area this campground has a out house and a fire shed to stay warm in , $8 a night water spicket on site.
free camping. there are spots along the creek that offer parking and a tent site as well as picnic tables. the creek has smallish trout. there are numerous hiking/orv trails in the area but we didn't hear any noise. road in is very well maintained even though much is gravel.
CAMPERS BEWARE! I would only recommend a day visit to this campground. We had to leave our campsite a couple hours after dark because it was IMPOSSIBLE to sleep here due to loud partying college kids.
