Stayed here for a week at the RV park while we explored Capital Reef. Super close to the park (about 20 minutes to the Visitor Center and 25 minutes to the Grand Wash trailhead.) The people who work here couldn't have been nicer. The campground was clean and easy to navigate. Great views all around the campground. If we return to the area we'd definitely stay here again.
Our cabin was quaint. It had the perfect amount of amenities to feel like we were "camping" but not have to take littles outside at 2am to use the bathroom. I'll admit that I was not emotionally prepared for all of the spiders we encountered in the cabin, along with the scorpion. 😳 Despite the creepy crawlers, I'd still recommend this place.
Very nice RV park, would recommend. All gravel park, sites are level and wide with a picnic table. Roads are wide with easy loops. Trees at sites be aware of slides and awnings. Nice heated pool, no hot tub. They advertise cable, but there is no cable TV. Very nice gift shop and BBQ restaurant. Beautiful view of the mountain cliffs. Quiet dark sky park. This park doesn't accept any memberships discounts. 12 miles to Capitol Reef National Park. Just a note, during our stay a lady with a dog walked thru our campsite. This is very poor camping etiquette.
My go to campground in Torrey was full so I needed a plan B. Very quiet, nice views out the back. Nice cabins too. Bathrooms were clean. Restaurant on site was a pleasant surprise! I got the last site, which was a small back in but more than adequate.
We looked for a nice stop between Moab And Bryce Canyon, found out Torrey. Booked a site at Thousands Lakes, got the best spot in the park right in the northwest corner front line to the sunset. grate staff very helpful, beautiful space and view, wish we could stay longer.
