Customer Reviews
Absolutely beautiful campgrounds! Good amount of space between camper spots and each is a good stretch to fit a large camper and car. All seemed very level and evenly spaced from what I saw. Beautiful view of the lake, skyline, and lots of trees. Very relaxing to just walk around the grounds and enjoy the weather. The shop owners were very friendly and I appreciated their selection. Great emergency options for a very affordable price. Loved the outdoor swimming pool as well! I would highly reccomend staying here for a long camping trip.
This a beautiful campground. Sites themselves are small but level. Lauren the activities director is awesome!!! Lots of fun activities. Haunted trail was very well put together for the most part. Members service people were nice but didn't necessarily listen to what we were asking instead tried to push the most expensive upgrade package which is normal sales but still frustrating. All in all a great stay.
Our third time here. Spacious sites with shade available on many sites. Clean outdoor pool and indoor hot tub. Clean in general. Lots of activities and themed weekends - thank you Lauren for directing them. Our favorite is Christmas in July with the best Santa ever! Swans were fun to pedal on the lake. Geese were entertaining to watch. Halloween weekends are fun here also!
No place is perfect, and overall TT Hershey is pretty good. The place is overrun by geese (and their droppings) unfortunately, and cell service there is very very sketchy. Otherwise it's a pretty good Thousand Trails campground.
WARNING! Do not sign anything commitment with this company! Last year, my wife and I were traveling across the country and we came across a Thousand Trails Campsite and decided to stay there because we were comparing them to other campsites and they seemed reasonable. Our experience with the campsite itself was great, however things took a turn for the worst when we tried to discontinue our membership. In my opinion they operate as a sort of Ponzi scheme, threatening to collect late charges on a monthly basis for auto drafted statements, despite the fact that I have tried to cancel several times, I still receive these letters in the mail. When you try to get a hold of them on the phone, you are directed to a “call back” list, which never truly calls you back. In essence what they are doing is making it extremely difficult to cancel the membership and threatening to charge late fees, I don’t know if they actually have any legal ability to do so but it’s extremely irritating and annoying. In summary, the campsite was a nice stay, but the commitment you make it to their “scheme” is extremely difficult to break, so please proceed with caution if you decide to stay at one of their sites, their staff are very friendly when they are trying to sell you a membership but you will never hear from them when you try to discontinue the membership. Stay away!
Great park. There is a nice fishing lake, all the expected amenities, clean restrooms and showers, a little store, and some really good spots. The park generally lacks shade from trees outside loop H, which has its own obstacles due to the slope of the drive (but not the sites), and some sites are sloped. Big rigs can get around without too much work. Also, for a Thousand Trails, the seasonal spots were much nicer and less obvious than most other parks.
