Beautiful pool area. Nice lodge. Super nice people to deal with, staff makes it great. Good variety of spaces, open field or treed, some water view. Quiet area near Atlantic City. We travel with 40 foot mh, 2 dogs and 2 cars and fit in our space. But the staff is what really makes it!

HONEST EXPERIENCE I HAD STAYING HERE SO OTHERS CAN BE WARNED: The older woman that sits in the back desk in the office (I belive her name is Jen)lied to me on the phone about the membership rules clearly(another staff member I spoke to told me she lies to get people to upgrade their membership)She was incredibly rude to me and my wife constantly. The older man that goes around on the golf cart all day was extremely rude as well, from what I see alot of other people had complained about him too. He yelled at me for speeding when my speedometer said 5mph ,gave my dog treats without asking, was constantly watching anything I was doing to complain. It looks like he had nothing better to do. Water pressure was horrible, bathrooms were really dirty, (no AT&T cell service, not their fault on this one)the lake has no fish, very tight for larger rigs, boats are all trashed, place needs serious updates including the 2 staff members I mentioned.(If the staff were friendly and didnt lie i would have rated this place4-5 stars but those 2 staff make the experience horrible. Would definitely recommend staying away from this place at any cost, read the trip advisor reviews I'm not the only one apparently... NOBODY SHOULD BE TREATED THE WAY MY FAMILY WAS, DONT DISAPPOINT YOURSELF ITS NOT WORTH CAMPING HERE TILL THIS PLACE HAS SOME MAJOR CHANGES DONE!

Chestnut Lake was very nice. I did read negative reviews, they complain too much. It is a nice campground. It is not wild and crazy but you may see the party people at any campground. We didn't see them here. One thing did bother me, a day pass was $5 per day. We come to southern Jersey to see family. Son, daughter in-law and granddaughter. I would figure most travel to see others and the others for the casino and beaches. I would think better business would at least allow one free pass per day. They did in our last May 2024 stay with another campground in the area. With all that said, is chestnut lake a good campground? Yes, I would come here again but will always wonder why they still don't give a one day pass for family or friends you may have come to visit?

Tight campground. 100% first come first serve regardless of what you book. Not super kid friendly, lots of rules on what kids can and cant do. Went for the carnival weekend where 4 events were listed and to my knowledge only 1/4 was actually done, leading to some bummed kids. In regards to spaces, when i say tight i mean it, big ones wont fit here if its a busy week.

We camped in a full hookup site here. It’s first come, first serve and there were PLENTY of spots available. Very laid back campground. Lots of kiddos toward the front sites near the amenities, and very pet friendly with a dog park. We loved it here. Great staff! The laundry room uses an app which was great and easy for us. Check out Smithville!
