Thousand Trails Hershey

First time here. Staff was excellent. Site was nice and large, minus the falling walnuts all night long. Campground is big, well maintained. The reason for 4 stars was the lack of a dog park. This is the only campground that I have been to without a dog park. They have enough room for 2 parks, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. The Halloween weekend was a blast. All the other campers was friendly. Really nice campground. Can't wait to go back again.

Had a fantastic time at Thousand Trails! First time there. Seasonal and non seasonal campers were very nice! Loved Halloween weekend: my site was great! I agree with Chris a dog park would be a wonderful addition. I also didn’t like the first come first serve policy I would rather know my site prior to coming. I felt rushed to get there to get a site. I have never been to a campground that had this policy. I am looking forward to returning.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. My husband and I came for 3 nights in anticipation for a concert that ended up being cancelled. We got to spend more time at the campground than originally planned and we’re so happy we were there for what could have been a disappointing trip elsewhere. The staff from the front gate security to the kitchen workers to the activities employees were overly friendly and accommodating. Laura, the recreational coordinator, really was the star of the show as far as staff goes. Every time we were around the pool or fishing area she was making sure campers were informed about fun activities. Everyone who worked there seemed to really enjoy being there, which is important. Other than that we were impressed by the selection of sites, the cleanliness of facilities, the numerous activities, and the fishing lake. We probably caught 20-30 fish! It was a nice touch that there was not an additional fee for the swan or boat rentals. We cannot wait to come back here and will definitely do our best to return before the season ends. This is one of our favorites. Fun activities to do. Pool is well maintained and has a nice area for small children that keeps them separated from deeper water. Fishing is good. The staff is wonderful too. Gentleman at the station is friendly and efficient, and Lauren from the pool is so good with the kids. The gentleman at the ice cream shop always has a smile on face too. Overall just a great campground.

Amazing place! Extremely clean, grounds are extremely well maintained. Beautiful views! Pool and hot tub were amazing. Very accommodating and friendly staff. The only negative was finding a spot, but we ended up with a great one. One of our favorite camp grounds. We will definitely be back!!

An absolutely beautiful campground. The sites are spacious, clean and set out wonderfully. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back. One of the most secure campgrounds we have been in!! A suggestion would be to incorporate a dog park

Very disappointed to learn that you can no longer pick your site at check in even though the website advertises “a guaranteed spot of your choice at our resort”. We didn’t learn this until we arrived at the campground, we were traveling with friends and ended up on the opposite side of the campground as them even though there were many empty sites beside them (and our site as well) all weekend long!! This really put a damper on our trip. This should have been advertised on the booking site or a notification should have been sent to those with reservations, it certainly would have alleviated some headaches for the poor staff who had to deal with all the unhappy “campers”! The staff were wonderful, we know that it was out of their control but this change definitely should have been handled differently. Definitely not happy with this change!!

Thousand Trails is a wonderful campsite easy and close to several areas including Hershey Park not very far from Philadelphia the park has Romaine changed a lot of different areas to stay in and the people there a wonderful service is great cleaner to do for a camping weekend this is not a hotel it's a campground
