Customer Reviews
I really enjoyed this campground! It has a more natural feel and is not quite as focused on amenities from what I can tell. I did not mind this. There are lots of nice lakes, a ton of trails, some very spacious sites, full hook ups and 50-amp. Cell service was okay. Very naturally beautiful area. Pretty close to Clinton if you need to run into town, and drivable distance to Terre Haute.
Stayed 3 weeks and had a wonderful time. The place was clean and well kept. All the staff was great. I just want to thank Debbie at the front desk. She's amazing. Always willing to help out in any way. You can really tell she likes her job. Never made me feel like I was a pest. Lol
This used to be an amazing place! Unfortunately, Thousand Trails and Equity Lifestyles only care about collecting your money. The park is poorly maintained and staff turnover rate is ridiculous. Good employees are undermined by bad and corporate sides with the bad. Many amenities are not in working order and if you ask when things will be fixed corporate will lie to you to get you to go away. If you have a complaint or concern it falls on deaf ears. It really is a shame because this property is beautiful. Corporate greed and corrupt employees are taking it down fast! I will not be wasting any more money on Thousand Trails and their disappointing performance!
Giving 4 stars for two reasons no one as gate when checked in. I had to circle twice to find my spot. The other reason is laundry room not usable under construction. The spot was wonderful level. It was very peaceful. I have 37ft class A. Loved my view. It was nice the other neighbors was not right next to you. Not sure about bathroom or anything. I didn't use pool or any of that just hung out at my spot and had relaxed visit.
General Impression: Scenic sprawling campground with woods, lakes, and annual campers – oh my! Cost $73.57 for non-TT members (Value: 2 –) We feel this campground is not a great value for the money. For that price we would definitely expect upgraded facilities and upkept amenities. Campground: This is a large 290-acre campground that is very spread out with space between most of the campsites. It boasts 11 lakes that are good for fishing, but not swimming. It’s pretty remote from town and activities and a large number of the 134 sites are annual campers that have staked their claim. Campsite # B10 Our campsite was a gravel back in site with unusable space in between sites. Plenty long enough for our RV and truck. The gravel pad was flat in the middle but had a bit of a grade in front of and back of the pad. Very level left to right. Most sites have 50 or 30, and about a dozen sites have both. Picnic table and fire rings at most sites, but no grills. They have propane refill and dump station. Campground Wifi: none, but they have wifi listed in the pool and laundry area. Campground: Not even good enough for a speed test Starlink: Streaming/Teleconference/Gaming (34.3 Mbps down/ 7.19 Mbps up) Verizon: Good for Email/Googling (3.45 Mbps down/ 0.06 Mbps up) Noise Level: Very quiet with no road or train noise. Amenities: Several bath houses throughout the campground with showers and bathrooms. They were clean enough but décor was outdated. Multiple dumpsters scattered throughout the park and easily located. Laundry: 4 washers and dryers. $1.75 per cycle and they do accept the CSC app as well as quarters. They have a large pool and playground. Other facilities: Basketball, cornhole, horseshoes, and tennis. The minigolf is sadly unusable. Dog friendly: While they do allow dogs, there is no off-leash area and no pickup stations. There is plenty of green area around the park to walk your dog. Camp store: No camp store. They do sell firewood, ice and there is a vending machine at the laundry area. Walmart and other grocery stores are about 15 min drive away. Camp staff interactions: Multiple camp staff interactions. They were pleasant and helpful. Additional info: There have a large amount of long-term campers that seem mostly contained to the A loop, but some in B loop as well. B loop seems much more friendly towards transient members.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I needed to share how much we enjoyed our stay at this campground! Jody at the front gate made our stay so much better than most of the other Thousand Trails parks we have been to. Please don’t pay any attention to the negative reviews of this campground – it was a fantastic stay for us. FREE PACKAGE DELIVERY that Joe, the park manager, brought to our site. Stayed in site B14. Thanks so much Jody & Joe!
Poor management. I do not know who the owners of this lovely campground are but staff could be more professional.
