Really enjoyed my stay over Thanksgiving and also over the summer. We rented cabins both times. My family lives outside Yuba and this was a perfect location near to them and the airport. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Cabins are very clean and have a lot of amenities (you could cook full on meals if you wanted and have everyone playing board games around the kitchen table). We even played a round of mini golf because it wasn’t too cold out!
Customer service outstanding! Gwen, Pat, and Rachel above and beyond with service. Whether a lost/forgotten item locked up in the office for us or help with storage and always with kindness. Same goes for the excellent cleaning and maintenance staff. Always a smile and willing to help out. We have been coming here since 2012. It is our home base while visiting our kids throughout the year Merry Christmas
54$ a night to sleep on the ground and share a toilet, MAYBE even a shower. Last week I got a motel six 2 hours south of here for 61$ total, yes it was a dump but also yes to my own bed, room, ac/heat, electric, toilet, HOT shower, tv AND FREE ICE. This is getting out of hand. What are these prices based off of? Is this property more attractive than the SVRA I stayed at FOR FREE last night? Unlikely since I stayed there alone........FOR FREE.
Nice large property. Full hookup, power/water, and dry areas. We had a barking dog in our area and someone went to the office and management took care of it quickly. If it had happened at night I’m not so sure if we (and the dog) would have gotten relief from the situation based on the 3 times we called the number while making reservations or questions they never answer the phone! Also the system would not let me modify my reservation, that and not being able to get someone on the phone is a serious issue. Luckily I was just adding a day on and made a new reservation. Thousand trails as a whole cant be a 5 star campground group until you can select the spot you want. I have never liked not knowing if our spot will be a great end spot or one right next to the dump and bathroom, or inches from a cabin(they have a few spots like that here you could be stuck with!) Pretty easy drive to sac and your out of the problem areas. I felt I could trust leaving my camping gear out while gone all day and nothing was stolen. If your used to thousand trails these issues won’t concern you. It is one of the nicer thousand trails I have been to in CA
We booked a cottage for 3 nights. I really disliked having an rv right next to us. We only had space to park our one vehicle. We couldn’t even set up our canopy because there was literally no space because of the rv next to us and their truck. I would not return to this campground due to how close cottages/cabins are next to other cottages/cabins and rvs. When we go camping we like to be outside enjoying the view and nature but this time we couldn’t do that because we had no space to set up any chairs or canopy. The only positive is the lake didnt stink like Lake Wilderness.
