Tent campers are also welcome, with plenty of space to set up under the shade of towering trees. Each site is designed to provide comfort and convenience while allowing you to connect with nature.

For those looking for additional amenities, the park provides laundry facilities in a dedicated building near section F. The machines operate on an app-based card-swipe system, making it easy for guests to clean their clothes during their stay. • This park is the absolute BEST place you could possibly choose to go outside city limits. The wildlife and scenery are more than you’ll ever be able to put into words! It’s quiet and natural all around. The employees are flexible and are helpful above and beyond, if given the chance.
  • As of Feb 2025, the pothole concerns appear to be greatly improved. There is still room for more fill-in work. However, our NET stayed in section F-Section without hitting any major potholes. Water pressure was very good, and the electrical supply was stable.
  • On the upside, it's very peaceful. The surroundings and animals are beautiful. Our site was well maintained, and we would definitely visit again. The staff are also very friendly and professional.
  • DOWNSIDE: This only pertains if you're there a while. The town is close by, but not much for supplies, propane, or fuel. There is a small grocery store and a Dollar General nearby, but please check expiration dates on what you buy.

Thousand Trails Medina Lake is more than just a camping destination—it's an experience that connects you with nature and creates lasting memories for your family. Whether you're a seasoned camper or new to the outdoor lifestyle, this park offers something for everyone. So pack up your gear, head to Thousand Trails Medina Lake, and embrace the beauty of Texas!

It’s quiet and natural all around. The employees are flexible and are helpful above and beyond, if given the chance. Randi, has always been so kind to my family and gone out of her way to ensure our stay is homey and comfortable. You’ll never experience a park quit like this. Worth every penny and every minute.

As of Feb 2025, the pothole concerns appear to be greatly improved. There is still room for more fill-in work. However, or 32VS SOUTHWIND never hit one major pothole on the way to F-Section. Water pressure is very good, 50A Electrical gave 118-121V. Our NET is internal. Please be aware that Laundry is provided via an old shack building with 6 very good washers, as well as 6 good dryers. There is only one laundry hut. It's a very serious walk from F-Section and operates on an APP. The machines will take card-swipe. On the upside, it's very peaceful. The surroundings and animals are beautiful. Our site was well maintained. I would definitely visit again. The staff are also very friendly and professional. DOWNSIDE: This only pertains if you're there a while. The town is close by, but not much for supplies, propane, or fuel. There is a small grocery store and a Dollar General, and that helps. But please look at expiration dates on what you buy.

Lovely, peaceful spot to camp. Lots of deer strolling around, trails to walk the pup and bike ride. Definitely will return. Roads in the park are pretty worn in areas but we just took it slow and easy.

This is the 4th or 5th time we have stayed here, but I think this will be our last. They are finally working to improve the sites by upgrading the sewer connections and the electrical boxes, although our monitoring system is throwing us warnings, and the water pressure is less than half what it should be. Also, the sites are not level, and the roads are still horrendous, becoming dangerous to navigate with no maintenance. I love the wildlife, the weather, the nature surrounding us, and the walking trails. It pains me to write a bad review, but we will not be back until they resolve these significant issues.

It's incredibly beautiful. The landscape is vast. The sunrise and sunsets are some of the best I've ever seen. Enjoy the wildlife that runs around and the scenery. Never forget to look at the sky. The stars shine so bright here.

So beautiful and serene, I think the staff are also quiet and not to be disrupted. I’m lucky I could follow someone else (with permission) when I arrived around 730pm and the gate code didn’t work and the ranger didn’t answer the phone. Flake Medina is hardly ever full and possibly hasn’t seen water since 2017, so some false advertising. In fact, we met people who came for the lake! I don’t mind it overgrown, it’s beautiful and tons of natural flowers and plants, even mullein as well as wild deer. Enjoy!

We travel in an RV. The campground is nice it’s definitely a wilderness experience. They have full hook ups in sites are fairly level. Bicycles or golf carts would be recommended to tour around the campground. They have walking trails, bike trails very scenic. There is no Internet connection at your sites. If you need Internet, you have to go to the clubhouse, which is not that difficult. The cabins are older, but they appear to be in good condition. Expect to see lots of wildlife while we were there we saw lots of deer, wild turkey, and a few raccoons. The 5000 acre lake has dried up due to drought, pumping water for agriculture and the development of housing in and around the San Antonio, Texas area.

The cabins are very out dated and smell old inside. We tried to enjoy ourselves outside and from all the times we had gone not once had we seeing scorpions outside our cabin like we did this time around. There are very few deers know and some cabins don't have a bbq pit anymore we had to pull over a bbq pit from a cabin that was there alone. We tried overlooking at all of these things by going to the lake and relax as they mentioned on their home webpage and ….. NOTHING!! There is no lake at all!!! We decided to then head to the pool and it had lots of dry leaves and there is not much maintenance done to it. To top it off they seem to want to charge for sheets and towels that seem line they can’t get wash. I understand paint or ink that is not removable, so if you decide to stay here make sure you don't leave dirty laundry or simply don't take children. I really don't understand the cleaning fee at this point since they seem to want to charge for anything they can get there hands on since the place is starting to look like is shutting down.
