The environment of Thousand Trails Peace River is characterized by its naturally beautiful setting, nestled among mature woods. The resort's 75 acres are largely forested, offering ample shade and a sense of being immersed in nature. The most significant environmental feature is the Peace River itself, which runs for approximately a half-mile along the border of the preserve. This river is a vital part of the landscape, providing opportunities for water-based activities and supporting local wildlife. The surrounding area is typical of central and southwest Florida, with a mix of pine trees, palmettos, and other native vegetation. While situated on the outskirts of Wauchula, providing convenient access to town amenities, the campground maintains a tranquil atmosphere. Reviewers often note the peaceful environment, with nights being quiet and conducive to stargazing, despite some occasional traffic noise from a nearby highway. The natural setting is ideal for those who appreciate wildlife, with opportunities to observe various bird species and other local fauna. The terrain is generally level, making it easy to navigate for both pedestrians and vehicles. The natural elements, such as the river and the wooded areas, are well-integrated into the park's design, providing a pleasant backdrop for outdoor activities and relaxation.

As a service provider within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Thousand Trails Peace River offers an extensive array of services and goods designed to enhance the camping experience. A significant portion of these are full hookup sites (30 and 50 amp electric, water, and sewer connections), catering primarily to RVs, including big rigs. There are also designated tent sites and some rustic cabins available for rent, offering diverse lodging options. The park ensures essential conveniences with clean restroom and shower facilities, a laundry facility (though some reviews mention maintenance issues), and a sanitary dump station. A camp store is typically on-site, selling essential goods like firewood, ice, and basic groceries. The property also features a boat ramp, providing direct access to the Peace River for boaters and paddlers. Checked it out, nice shaded lots. Amenities are pretty basic but who doesn't love a pool 😜. Nice little spot on the peace river... Some beautiful shaded trails. Honestly perfect if you live in an RV and need some nature in your life!

Holiday weekend and there was no employee to be found, even on Monday. No activities, no Memorial Day celebrations. Drunk people fighting all hours of the night, people and campers walking/ driving through sites. People jumping the fence at night to go in the hot tub. People lighting off fireworks. Dogs running around not on leashes and one of said dogs biting people and the dog owner was not reprimanded. Bathhouse and laundry room are a mess. Now, there is a DANGER sign on the guard shack, no explanation or anything to campers. My questions are: what is going on with this park? Why does this park not have enough staff? Why do they not enforce rules? Why is there No security after 8, even on the nights that ones does work. Why do they not check id’s when people check in? This was our favorite campground in Fl. Hope it gets better before we come back next winter, we are not very comfortable camping at this campground with our children at this time! Wish they would find a park manger who would enforce rules and do the right thing.

Great place as long as you don't need the bath houses came to stay 14 days but leaving early due to lack of cleaning in the bath houses. Started my stay on Friday at noon and bath houses where clean but no one all weekend long cleaned them by Saturday night they where starting to look bad a mess in one of the shower that was there Saturday morning was still there Sunday evening only difference instead of cleaning it up they put a wet floor caution sign in front of what looked to be puke I'm very disappointed in this place and I have a thousand trails membership and it's free for me to stay and I won't be back and it's sad it was a nice campground other than the bathhouse mess oh and pool was closed all weekend Monday morning update bath houses where being cleaned the worker said the new managers where trying to save on staffing and they decided bath houses could be left over a full weekend without cleaning sad to say that's impossible in a campground speaking from years of experience as a regional manager for campgrounds this is not the way to go cleaning staff should clean and freshen every bath house 3 times a day what was the manager thinking bad idea .....

Thousand Trails members rejoice! LOTS of places, even in FL peak season. Most of the power in the lower flood zone sections are now 50 amp. For the sites that don't have sewer, the park offers a 1 x weekly visit from the honey wagon. You have to go to the office to schedule it and then they come the next day. Keep an eye on your tank levels, because the office isn't open on Sundays. Having the gate wide open on Sunday is only slightly concerning, but you still might want to keep anything valuable enough inside your rig at night.

I feel like consumers should know before purchasing Encore. They will put you in the worse spots because you are booking through Thousand trails. We are staying at Ramblers Rest in Vanice Fl. I checked online and showed no availability. I called the campground directly. The lady said that she had room for all three nights. When asked to book she said, “ wait, you are not a thousand trails member are you?” When I responded with yes her attitude changed. She said that she could not take my booking. I had to call thousand trails. In calling they could only book two nights. The lady at the park said that they only have a few spots for Encore members so she couldn’t give me the 3rd night. Then I asked if I can pay regularly price for the ine night. She refused to help me and said that Encore members cannot make regular reservations. On arrival the office was closed. Our arrival packet was there but the card did not work to access the park. It was only 7pm, no one answered the phones. After an hour an good samaritan let us in. The place is beautiful with nice spots wide open. They put us right between the residential area. These are things no one told me before purchasing Encore. I feel like we all should know before purchasing.
