This is a typical Thousand Trails campground. The RV spots are too close together. They’re also not quite level. If it rains you’ll be dealing with a lot of mud. Thankfully, when we were there, mid October; It did not rain at all, but I can see how that would be a big pain in the butt if it did. Our site was half gravel and half dirt. We had good electrical and water hook ups, however, the sewer connection did not have decent threads so that could be a problem. We did not have any problems with staff. Everyone that we dealt with was friendly and helpful. However, we did have the water go out for a long time and nobody really connected with us, we had to call the office a few times to find out what was going on. And, I don’t know what is wrong with people, but there were a lot of loud unruly dogs. I think people with dogs that bark nonstop should be kicked out of the park. We love a nice quiet, peaceful, camping experience, and with loud barking dogs, several days were not. Roads were about half paved and half gravel. It’s a pretty good place to ride your bike around as it is mostly level, but you have to watch out for speed bumps. ⚠️ Swimming pool is only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Some of the restrooms look like they’ve been remodeled in the last 10 years, but they don’t have hot water, just automatic cold water to wash your hands. Also, those ancient stupid blow dryers that don’t do a thing. I much prefer paper towels! So if you use their restrooms, remember to bring your own towel. We had decent cell phone reception, but it wasn’t too great. It was a nice break from the Internet and screens. While you’re in the area, be sure to check out the Arrowood farm/brewery. It’s a great local place to grab a beer or cocktail and hang out for a few hours.

The attitude of whoever was working the office 10/21 at 4:30pm will keep me from coming back here. We left in a hurry and my husband forgot to put the card with the gate code in our truck (totally our own fault). He hit the button to get in and the lady on the speaker rudely said “you know we are about to close and if you don’t have that you can’t get in right?” It was a simple mistake on our end and we easily could have parked and walked in and got the code as our spot is right by the office. I am not at all saying the vehicle cards aren’t important, but her attitude was extremely uncalled for.

Great people, great location, and great experience! Our space was out at the back because we thought we needed satellite tv. They have cable TV! The space was level and spacious. The T-mobile connection was poor but worked sometimes. There were so many amenities to choose from. The manager and member specialists were amazing!

Unfortunately not worth the price for the cabins. If the cabins were $60 a night, they would be worth it, but at $200 after tax, you’re much better off with an air bnb. The service I received was solid. But the cabin #262 was not nice. The towel holder was ripped from the wall. The mattress was stained yellow with hopefully sweat. The AC in the living room was broken, the light keeps flashing. The toilet and shower were not clean. The floors were not clean. I think the whole experience is summarized by the tv remote batteries being held in with tape. Just obvious signs of neglect, with no warmth or care or pride put into the accommodation whatsoever. Would not stay again.

Mid-september long weekend stay...Very satisfied. We have 26ft travel trailer but prefer the privacy that comes with tent camping. TTRV has several RV sites adjacent to forest tent sites that were ideal for us. Electric, water, and cable hookups far from the tight full hookup neighborhood. The tent sites were great; private, spacious, and wooded. The pool looked well kept and was large. Bath houses were clean and fully functional...a stark difference from NY State campgrounds. The Pavillion had a nice snack shop and enticing events scheduled...we respectfully stayed away and kept to ourselves. The pond on the grounds should be avoided...eutrified and gross....but ok if just passing by on foot or car...or jazzy scooter/golf cart. Give this place a chance. They seemed to try hard to make our stay enjoyable.
