We booked a cabin for two nights. The toilet was dirty with urine stains on the rim. After taking a shower and using their towels I needed another shower cause i looked like a sheep from all the lint their towels left on me. The bed had hair and a live insect was found under the cover. The dishes were stained and dusty. We were near the lake and it stank so bad. We couldnt eat outside cause the smell was just so overwhelming. Overall the cabin was gross but the staff was friendly and they had fun activities for the children. Wouldn’t go again.
I used to have a good review for this park but had to remove it and post this NEGATIVE review for atleast the last year the park has gotten outta control police chases and raids fights drugs... the managers power trip for no reason and do nothing about the serious problems like right before they suspended us for 90 days due to my kid not picking up a dog turd right away the night before 2 drunk families were out at 2am fighting with bats and children so I went out to help and defuse the situation and the next morning we were suspended thousand trails is losing control and it's not OK we have been elite members for almost 5 years and paid off at that this is the worst it's been sad when all a family is trying to do is live and camp in peace:(
I love this campground. The staff is nice. Most of the guests are respectful of each other and for the most part quiet. It's a great place for the kids to play and have fun with each other. And I absolutely love sleeping next to the canal and having the geese and birds come visit in the mornings. They will even figure out where the window is on your tent and come to it looking for you if they like you. I really enjoy staying here. I will definitely keep going back.
I like the place. The cabins are nice and there are a lot of ducks. The campsite is good and the pool and activities are good. I thought there was a curfew or no loud sounds after 10pm but there was people partying till 4-6am. My family kept waking up throughout the night. I think they need staff at night to make sure people are not disturbing the community.
Although the city is being built around the park, it is still pretty quiet. There are stores and restaurants within a few minute drive. The park itself is lovely. There is wildlife, especially birds, during winter. At night, you can hear coyotes. I like the park and plan on returning.
