Customer Reviews
My family is new to Thousand Trails. We are new members. This experience has been phenomenal and an absolute blessing for us. They have a nice secluded area off the road, it's very clean and quiet. The other members are all friendly, and all have been nothing short of open arms to new guest members. What we have noticed immediately that has stood out is everyone who is there is willing to lend a helping hand and at the least open that door if we need anything just ask if they don't know someone else who is there will know. We love coming out and have been there over 5 different times this year and are coming back out next week for 2 week stay. The pool is amazing. I had to include this because it is clean and very kid, family friendly!!
My family visited this campground and stayed in a cottage for a couple nights. The staff were all extremely helpful and very friendly. The pool was excellent. The cottage was clean and shaded. The outside area was well maintained. Definitely will be back. Also told my brother who has the RV yearly pass about. Maybe he can join us next time as well
We pulled in about 9:30 pm (after dark). Our check-in packet was waiting right where they said it would be. The map included a list of available sites and we set up in the first one we came to-Site #41. Our site was significantly lower in the front, but Anderson buckets and leveling system worked fine. We did need leveling blocks on one side too. The entrance road and main roads throughout the park are paved. The camping loops and sites are made of good quality gravel. This park is one of the best maintained Thousand Trails parks we've ever stayed in. There are plenty of sites large enough for big rigs (based on availability). We are 36'+bike rack and crew cab pickup and had plenty of room for everything. The buildings were clean and well maintained. We used the men's bathroom and laundry ($1.75/wash and $1.75/dry-4 of each). The laundry room was open late (no posted hours, but we did laundry as late as 9:30 pm). It included a 6' table for folding and a 10' metal rod for hanging. There is a large pond near the swimming pool and activity center. On the weekend, there was live music for everyone to enjoy. The park is about 10 miles outside Wilmington (Walmart Supercenter) in a rural setting with lots of corn fields nearby. This provided for a quiet, peaceful setting. We were there for Labor Day weekend and almost all the sites were occupied. Of course this indicates the electricity works at all of the sites, which is definitely not the case at many TT parks. This park is a good example of how ALL TT parks should be maintained and run. It is what we expected when purchasing our membership. I will say that it appears there is a high percentage of the sites leased, which is not the business model we were sold when we purchased our membership. I think leased sites should be limited to no more than 10-15% of the functioning sites in the park and also of the type of sites (10% of 30 amp, 10% of 50 amp, 10% of sewer sites), to be fair to those who use their membership transiently. We will definitely be back when we return to the area.
This is a great campground. Everyone is friendly. It is well maintained. We were fortunate to have a 50 amp with sewer spot. #62. It's mostly level and no shade trees, but the site was very large. We stayed for nearly 3 weeks. We would definitely stay here again. Xenia is about 20 minutes away, and there is a bike station that intersects 4 trails. We rode our ebikes from Xenia to Yellow Springs. Walmart is 9 miles away in Wilmington to pick up groceries. A great restaurant 1592 BBQ about 5 miles. Highly recommend this campground.
Closing the pool at 7:00pm when there is a heat warning is ridiculous! The pool is full of people trying to keep cool and they come and tell us we have to leave because they close the pool at 7:00pm that's crazy in the middle of June even when there's not a heat warning.
Opening day is always exciting and with the new system of assigned sites I was a bit nervous but the manager and the 2 gals training in the office were absolutely WONDERFUL and got us the exact site we come to each visit here! We love the vibe of this park so much and consider it our 2nd home while in the Cincinnati area!
Clean campgrounds, bathrooms could be updated but very clean. To many permanent sights but everyone was nice. Pool could use a heater, said it was broke.
