There are literally no rules enforced, people run their generators day and night, 14 people camped in the picnic area one night and 2 other people the next night, despite signs that say no camping. The washrooms are the worst smelling and I camp often (was there 4 days). Bear in area and one foot from the tent 2 mornings in a row. Alberta Parks and the campground staff went around more than once and would have seen and heard the infractions and nothing was done. The location is beautiful, some highway noise. I would not stay there again.

It's a noisy location close to the highway, thick with bugs even in early September. It feels like the West side close to the river has better views and is quiet though. I left very early in the morning for a quick stopover, so it was ok for that purpose.

Awesome trip, even got the best camp site in the place! Staff were super friendly and reasonable in dealing with any issues! Yes,the trains can be annoying, but we didn't find them too bad on our trip. Highly recommended, first come first serve so get your spot before it fills up!

This is a very noisy campground right beside the Trans Canada hgwy with 24/7 heavy (truck) traffic plus trains blasting horns and helicopters overhead during daylight hours. It's OK for an overnight stay if you really aren't trying to get much sleep. The entire Bow Valley corridor is very industrial and noisy - best to plan ahead and find a quieter location.
