Our 3rd trip to and stay at Thunder Canyon Campground was the best yet! A very peaceful place to refresh the body, mind and spirit. Don't miss a visit to the Chapel on Reflection Pond. We are from Michigan and absolutely fell in love with this place! We had such a wonderful time over Labor Day weekend that we're wanting to go back this Fall and Winter for possibly 6 months! The campground is absolutely beautiful! It's quiet and peaceful. The owners are very friendly, as are the seasonal campers. It feels like we found our tribe. ❤️
I absolutely love this place. John, Mercedes, and the crew are continually working to make things better. My awning had a little accident. I called the office to see if they knew of anyone who could help me get it put away. Two gentlemen, Chuck and Dwayne, showed up. Worked for over an hour to get it put back in place for me. What more could I ask for. Every camper here wants to be here, and they all seem happy. Very friendly place.
The campground is meticulously maintained and the owners are awesome! I think we got the best space! We met everyone camping there with us and had a wonderful pot luck and coffee together in the morning! We made wonderful new friends. We all felt like we’ve known each other for years! It’s great camping with like minded people. We loved helping around camp doing projects that need to be done to maintain the property. When we drove in and parked we felt like we were home. So comfy and beautiful! All the trees and buildings were well maintained. The trails were fantastic. The creeks that run through the property are stunning. John took us on a tour of the property which really helped us understand the size of the property to enjoy. I can’t wait to go back and hope y’all can experience this campground someday. Highly recommend!
