Our recent getaway was super beautiful — the peaceful sound of the ocean, a crackling fireplace in our room, and yummy food inside the cozy lodge just a quick walk from the room. We loved exploring the winding paths through eucalyptus groves, the secret waterfall, benches seated on the edge of the cliffs surrounded by wild mint, blackberries and juniper. If you're looking for a place to reconnect and unwind, this is a great spot. The room could definitely use a comfy reading chair.

Shore tower This place was incredible. The service is great and it’s a very clean and cozy place with incredible ocean views. We stopped by on our way down the coast at sunset to check out the big totem pole that you can see from the highway. We walked around the grounds which are beautifully maintained and have clear walking paths and checked out the two totem poles. It was getting dark and we could smell the food coming from the restaurant so we walked inside to a lovely lodge area with welcoming guest services who invited us to dinner. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, and the food is literally some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Everything from the bread and butter, the beet salad, the fried chicken and the mushroom soup. They have cookies at the door for you to take when you leave that are phenomenal. They are my favorite cookies I’ve had in a long time. 100% recommend coming here if you’re driving along the highway one. The next stop for restaurant is super creepy and dark and looks awful. This place was cozy warm inviting safe and they had a live musician playing that we could hear from the restaurant. If you’re driving the coast and thinking about stopping, this is a definitely a place that you wanna stop. Our waitress Alicia was very hospitable to us and made sure that we felt comfortable and had everything that we needed. The restaurant has great ocean views great for a romantic spot, but also still very down to earth and not too fancy. Wednesday is local special. It was $65 for soup, salad, fried chicken, and dessert. Amazing find.

My partner and I stayed February 14, 2025 and it was just stunning the views and our arrival to this beautiful resort was easy and welcoming from the receptionist. Our cove room was couple stairs down with an ocean view, stunning although an update in the restroom like the shower head that had mold and blue stains on it, would be considerably. We headed to the bar where we sat there for 30+ minutes and we never got a menu nore asked what drink we would like. It was not busy to a point, I should have waited so long. There were two ladies as bartender’s and one barista. Then what really made me upset was a lady came to the bar and asked for two hot chocolates which she was literally behind me, and bartender made it right there and then. I was just so shocked, which I asked for menu and was ignored. My partner started checking outside the resort for restaurants and bars we could go to. To cheer me up. I have never felt so discriminated in my life… For our luck, Brian a bartender had came in and right away attended us with drinks and we never had our drinks empty for him to check up on us. He saved the night I would say and made me forget about the bad experience. We even stayed for dinner. Chef was so nice he told us about an habanero sauce which I love. It was spicy and made hamburger taste much better. Mussels were tasty as well. The resort had a complimentary marshmallow table with crackers chocolate and everything you can think of for a delicious s’mores outside near the fireplace and was great for dessert. If you’re looking for a scenery this is the place to book overpriced due to outdated equipment mostly in bathroom, but overall best views. Hospitality on the other hand I, would think needs to be worked on, race, gender and ethnicity should never be a concern.

The front desk staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make my sister's birthday extra special. Even though I wasn’t the one staying, they made the process seamless by helping me order a bottle of champagne to surprise her in her room. Their attention to detail and warm service made me feel like I was their guest too. They were quick, efficient, and ensured everything was perfect for my sister's arrival. Thanks to their exceptional service, the birthday celebration started off on a high note! Thank you :)

We’ve traveled together to so many amazing places—Yosemite, New York, Carmel, Los Angeles, San Diego—but nothing compares to the hospitality we experienced here. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was a special place. The love and care shown toward our dogs, especially Cesar, were unlike anything we’ve ever seen. They weren’t just welcomed—they were celebrated. Cesar received so much attention and kindness, and it was clear the staff genuinely cared. Housekeeping was absolutely impeccable, making everything feel spotless and comfortable for all of us. Angel, the incredible manager with a Puerto Rican background, treated us to drinks and left a lasting impression with his warmth and authenticity. At the front desk, Puso greeted us with the kindest welcome, instantly making us feel at home. And Sia—there aren’t enough words for Sia. She went above and beyond, feeding us, treating us like royalty, and keeping us entertained with just the right amount of conversation—never too much, never too little, always perfect. Finally, the night attendant made our trip even more magical by letting me place a Christmas ornament on the tree. It was a small gesture that made me feel like I was part of something special, as if I were in my own little holiday story. This was by far our best anniversary trip yet. And when they say “pup-friendly,” they mean it—our dogs were as cared for as we were. We can’t wait to come back.
