Great campground and tent site! We were kinda near a lot of people but that made me feel safer cause I’m a wuss. Visiting in late September and had never heard an elk before. But that first night camping here we heard them bugle all night. Was very cool! Great location and beautiful views, especially of the night sky!
Best organize camp ground. Quiet and clean. There have real water flush toilet and dish wash sink by the toilet. Water really clear. We definitely will come back again. So if you reserve this camp site you can get in and out Rocky mountain nation park.
stayed here with my wife and dog. it was super calm. rangers constantly driving around and being friendly. very close to other campers but still felt private ish. other campers were respectful. fire wood was $10 per bundle. star gazing is a must
Great campground! Was worried we would have too much sound from the cars on the road but it wasn’t a problem at all. Spots have fire pits and a picnic table. Bathrooms have a dishwashing sink outside and toilet paper was provided. Had the option to buy firewood but they made it seem like that wasn’t always guaranteed. Beautiful scenery and trees surrounding each campsite. Great experience!
2024-Aug. We camped for 2 nights and 2 days with some families from church. The site was easy to find. Download your maps because the cell phone signal was on and off. Check-in was quick. The staff was nice and friendly. Rangers drive around often. They allowed 2 families per site but the tent pad that we were assigned to, #6 in loop A, was not big enough for two tents or two vehicles. There were restrooms. The women's restroom closest to us has 3 stalls with 1 sink with running water. One wall socket, Bear boxes are shared. There are few water faucets around the area. There is also an amphitheater with a nice view. It was a short walk to a little stream of the Colorado River. There was a fire ban when we went up, so no fire was allowed. Except for electric or propane stoves. There were lots of ant hills 🐜 everywhere. There were also lots of bugs. Lots of stars at night. We had a great time with friends despite all that. God created a magnificent view! Enjoy ⛺️ camping!
