Stayed at #5 with the creek right next to our tent as we slept like babies! GOD'S creation is absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend! Spaces are far enough apart that you are not on top of each other like other campgrounds. There are a few different sets of out houses and rinse off and non-pottable spigots. The water comes from the creek, which is ice cold mountain runoff. Saw some small river trout, but nothing to keep. No signal except for by the esquarian area and even then just enough to make a call. Prices range from $10 for individual to $45 for group sites. On the group sites it depends on how many people are in your party. Do not bring firewood in as evasive species can be brought in accidentally. Rather use the abundance of wood locally. Most sites have some sort of starter firewood for your first fire. Be kind and leave a small pile for the next group behind you. Tread lightly.... pack in.... pack out!
Awesome place, great to keep the kids busy nights were in the mid 40’s, campgrounds currently don’t have running water do to construction 7/2023
My favorite place to go cool off and enjoy the beautiful surroundings wonderful place my father R.O.Digman loved to go for rids up to Timber Creek he was surprised to see such a pretty place in the high Desert S.L.Digman Redfern....
Loved it! Clean restroom, open air, great star gazing, quiet creek, far back of the road so not a lot of vehicles. Picnic tables were in great condition. Camp tender came by often to check up on the site. We stayed several days and very much enjoyed the site.
The most beautiful campground I've ever seen. By far the best camping I've ever done. Wish i could have stayed longer. Go to sleep listening to this pulchritudinous creek babbling in your ear, watch the sun rise over the mountains, and listen to the birds sing in the birch trees. If im ever in Nevada again, i think driving any number of hours out of my way to spend 15 minutes here would be time well spent. I envy the National Forest interns i saw working here.
