Unlike some bustling resorts, Timber Trails Campground prides itself on a tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for those who value quiet relaxation. As one visitor noted, "It was a quiet park, but it was off season. There were a lot of trees everywhere." While the off-season naturally contributes to serenity, the design and management clearly prioritize a calm environment. The campground caters exceptionally well to RVs, even large ones, offering "nice long site with our 38 foot 5th wheel and big Ford truck, so we didn't have to unhook just to spend one night." This convenience is a significant plus for travelers on the go.
The experience at Timber Trails is further enhanced by its friendly and accommodating staff. A camper remarked, "Jodi was very nice and accommodating in the office." This personal touch, even extending to driving campers to their site or explaining facilities, speaks volumes about the commitment to guest satisfaction. While some minor logistical points like finding the office or the dumpster might require a short walk, the overall positive sentiment and willingness of guests to return indicate that these are minor inconveniences compared to the comfort and peacefulness offered. It’s a testament to a well-run establishment that understands the needs of its diverse clientele, from transient travelers to long-term seasonal residents.

Customer Reviews
This is a campground, not a hotel. We were put in a nice long site with our 38 foot 5th wheel and big Ford truck, so we didn't have to unhook just to spend one night. We didn't use any of the facilities. We wanted to use the bath house but it was too far for us to walk. When we pulled in to register, it was hard to find the office. It was a little bit of a walk and there wasn't a sign. Just signs showing how far it was. The trash dumpster was inconvenient at the exit also. You couldn't pull your camper up to the office or the dumpster, without getting out and walking. It was a quiet park, but it was off season. There were a lot of trees every where. We asked for just electric and water hookups. The site was level side to side. Jodi was very nice and accommodating in the office. They don't have a map of the park so she had to drive down to our site to direct us to where the bath house was. A lot of seasonal sites are here with home made built structures around them, made of wood with metal panels, to protect against the elements. Our front view was of a cornfield. The sites were very roomy. They do allow pets. They have a beautiful boxer in the office and he was very friendly. We would return to this campground if we were traveling through again.
Beautiful private campground with sites for overnight travelers. We had a very long pull thru that was level side to side. Very quiet. Good T-Mobile connection. Very well maintained with a convenient dump station and trash facilities. Only two easy miles off I-70
We came here on a family road trip as our first destination. Arriving on Tuesday, the grounds were pretty quiet, with only a few other campers near us. We are in an rv so the quality of the hookups mattered. They have water and electric, but no sewage, which didn’t prove to be an issue. The bathrooms were alright, not very clean but that was to be expected. The lakes were nice, and the views were great. We saw a great sunset.
We stayed here a single night with our 3 kids on a cross country road trip - amazing!!! I was so pleased with location, it had multiple playgrounds and activities for the kids, a big beautiful cornfield lining one side of the property, and some of the prettiest trees I’ve seen. I took a walk with my dog in the AM to explore and was not disappointed with the location at all. Clean, incredibly priced, and Jody couldn’t be sweeter! We arrived late and she was still happy to help us locate our campsite and even drove us there. There are some permanent campers and they have adorable setups that the kids loved checking out too (age 5, 5, 9). Highly recommend!
This was a great place for an overnight stop. It's a little bit off the freeway so not as much road noise as some places. The sites were nice in size. Cost for an overnight was great! The owner was super friendly and helpful.
