My non-camping friends would call this a trailer park as the majority of sites seem to be seasonal, with some very long term. Older campground that needs a refresh. The bathrooms were very old and not welcoming. This was fine for a quick overnight stay along our journey.
The ONLY I give this is one star, if I could give more to the manager Donna I would. Other than that I am not quite sure how it has received as many stars as it did. We were seasonals for 6 years. Where do I start... Water pressure TERRIBLE and hard water from the well. If you want a lawn ornament in the kids playground this is your place to be they have been working on the generator for over 3 years that still doesn't work, not to mention the putt putt golf on a HILL. This is your place to go. The owner owns 2 additional campgrounds besides this one, he puts his money into ONE place. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Additionally the rates go up EVERY year with no improvements Do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere.
It's an older campground that suffices, but if you have a demand hot water heater the water pressure may not be high enough for it to sense & make hot water at times. There are some nice shady sites, but there is almost constant highway traffic noise on their upper sites.
We had reservations for Site #30, pull-thru, staying one night as we passed through and so glad it was no longer. At this point the owner/manager(?) was going through dialysis and I am very sorry about that but no one was left to attend the campground. No paperwork left for those checking in. There was a note on the door to call her number, I did and she had no idea who we were, she told us to go to Site #9 (I forgot to look to remind myself what our reservation said). Site numbers were hard to find and we went past it and found ourselves at a dead end grassy spot that we were able to turn around in narrowly missing the low hanging utility wire. The only saving grace of this rundown campground was the other campers/residents (?), they were so friendly and helpful. One told us this was a terrible site. I called the lady again and asked for our #30 site. I was told someone else was in it, we could have #28. None of the sites were pull-thru as advertised but one person told us to pull through the empty site next to ours for "pull-thru". The grass was not mowed also, about 6-8 inches high. Right agains the Interstate, road noise not blocked by the trees. A really dismal place except for the "neighbors". The picnic tables were nice fiberglass. So glad we were moving on the next morning.
We had a great time here, very nice cabin with electric for under 100$ the cabins are fairly secluded as well. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return.
