Location: Easy access not far from 224, or US 30. Close enough to shopping/ restaurants, yet far enough that it is quiet. People: Everyone we encountered was super friendly. Overall, it is a nice campground with plenty of activities scheduled for all guests. This park is well groomed. Although the sites are closer together than I had hoped, we found it to be cozy and not intrusive. Will come again.
Excellent experience for just a place to sleep overnight. Close to the highway but still far enough away that it was perfectly quiet for a great nights rest after a long day of driving. We arrived a bit late 9:00pm, but we still received excellent service. Daniel took us right to our drive thru site so we would find it quicker. We did not have to disconnect which was perfect.
NO REFUND POLICY!! Had to cancel due to a family emergency. There is nothing posted on the website or Campspot stating that this campground has a NO Refund policy. When trying to call the number supplied the message stated this phone is not accepting calls. Today when checking it now works. It’s sad that a campground would keep your total payment rather than charging a cancellation fee. Now they can get a double payment. I hope others are now aware of this policy and think twice about staying here.
We come here a few times a year and every time we come its a good time. The owners are very personable and are always friendly when you talk to them. Camp sites are nice and cozy with a fire ring ready to go at each one. I believe all of the sites are full hookup, which is nice. I also believe that almost every weekend during the camping season there is some type of activity going on whether its a cookout, kids day, live band or hay ride behind the tractor something is always going on. They offer propane refills and have many camping essentials and snacks in the camp office. The swimming pool is nice during the hot summer days and its far enough out in the country you don't hear all the noise from the city.
I've stayed here twice in the past week. I do a lot of traveling for work, this is far, the best campground for the price. Tent camping with electric and water is 20 dollars per day. I find the people who run the place very friendly, the grounds look very well kept. The other tenants seem to be quiet. They do have a good size built in pool, however it's still too early to open the pool. But it doesn't look like they need much to do in order to open it! They also have a small pond for fishing. Both the pool and pond have a fence around them so you don't have to worry about the wee ones wandering in and a tragedy happening. The RV campsites look very well kept. With electric, water and sewer. They have a large covered picnic area, and a small store. I also see a playground with plenty of swings as slides. It's extremely quiet here.. it's not far from Van Wert which is a sizable town with lots of things to spotzeir (wander around) and see.. I don't know what the person is talking about about with the bathrooms... They are the cleanest bathrooms I've seen at a camping area, each stall has its own showers, toilet and sink.. it's brand new ceramic tile, and brand new walk in showers with even a seat to sit on, plenty of room if you have children that need supervision while they shower... It has brand new paint and is super clean! Soon the trees will be full of leaves so I'm sure it's actually better shaded than it is right now.. yes I would stay here anytime I'm in the western side of Ohio.
