While it may not have all the modern amenities, Tincup Campground is ideal for campers who appreciate simplicity and close contact with nature.
- Location: Situated in Freedom, WY, Tincup Campground is a great base for exploring nearby outdoor activities and natural attractions. Its proximity to undeveloped wilderness makes it an excellent choice for hikers, anglers, and nature enthusiasts.
- Campsite Features: The campground has space for 3 medium-sized RVs or tents, making it suitable for small groups or families. Campers can enjoy the serene surroundings with minimal interference from outside noise.
- Facilities: While Tincup Campground is a primitive site with limited facilities, it does offer fire pits and picnic tables for guests to use. The nearby creek provides a natural water source, though campers are advised to be cautious when using it for drinking or cooking purposes.
- Servicios: Basic necessities like fire pits and picnic tables are available on-site, but visitors should come prepared with their own supplies, including food, water, and toiletries. The lack of restrooms means campers must bring portable toilets or plan for alternative arrangements during their stay.

Small campsite with room for 3 medium size rigs and two tent campsites. Situated next to a small creek with lots of trees. So their is minimal opportunity for solar. This means generators in a small area. Sad face. Anyhow nice place for a pit stop. Surrounding area is okay. Has fit pits and picnic tables with risky water from the creek. No toilets. Happy trails!
It's not much, but it's free! We stayed two nights in a tent, both nights there were others staying, but it was peaceful. There wasn't really any trash at that time. Only 3 spots. No toilet.
It's a free campground, which is awesome. But there was trash left behind. Someone left their broken tent (site 5) and we had broken glass on our site (site 3) looks like a window was broken. We stayed here with another set of campers, but not sure I would stay here alone. Maybe...I just had a not so great feeling. But we stayed the night, it was quiet. A nice place for a quick sleep and get back on the road.
A local sheep rancher uses this camp ground for his hired help. They bring in campers, water tanks etc. For the workers, don't know what they do about sewage there are no pit toilets. The workers dogs run free and in the fall it's used as a hunting camp.
Fun little creek campground is primitive. Bring big spray lots of biting flies and mosquitoes
