The people that work here are nice. Bath houses are ok. But there’s a big problem for me. There’s no lake. The lake looks like it has been drained for a couple of years, but there was no mention of that online. That was our main disappointment - pulling up to a campsite that is supposed to border water only to see years of brush growth instead. The other problem can’t be helped, but I feel like it’s worth mentioning. This place seemed extremely loud on our visit. I’m sure it was just a handful of campers, but it sounded like we were camping 100yds from a school playground and dog park. Tishomingo State park is a beautiful park, and I would highly recommend it for a day trip. But if you want a lake and a quiet camping experience, don’t camp here.

Me and my family have been going here for years and it has been our favorite place to go since I remember. It has so many rocks to climb, there’s a large bridge called the swinging bridge with a river underneath it, places to swim in rivers and creeks and so many hiking trails with so many things to see along the way!

Although the access road to the sites is in bad shape the new area is set up very nice. Concrete pads and plenty of room. Some sites are right on the water. Had a little issue with leveling but overall nice. I was there to ride the Natchez Trace parkway.
