Set against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, Toleak Point provides a unique opportunity to connect with nature. The campgrounds are divided into two distinct areas: the northern side, which offers more wooded sites and protection from wind, and the southern side, where campsites are right on the beach, offering incredible views of sea stacks and direct access to tide pools. The park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with opportunities for hiking, tide pool exploration, and coastal photography.
- Beachfront Camping: Camp directly on the beach or in the nearby woods, with options to suit various preferences and needs.

- Tide Pools: At low tide, visitors can explore vibrant tide pools teeming with marine life, making it a perfect activity for families or nature enthusiasts.
- Water Access: While water sources are limited, the park provides ample opportunities to enjoy the ocean and its surroundings. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own water supply.
The campground's location in Forks, WA, places it near other outdoor attractions, including the Hoh Rainforest and Hurricane Ridge, making it a great base for exploring the Olympic Peninsula. The park is ideal for families, couples, and solo adventurers looking for a mix of relaxation and adventure.

Beautiful beach, campsites are on both the northern side of the point (more wooded sites and less wind), and south side of the pint (camping the beach, closest to the water source, more wind, incredible views). The tide pools at low tide are pretty good, we spent an hour walking around them. We hike the whole “wildcatter” or south coast trail, but it is a great spot to hike to, Camp a couple nights, and hike out of. Absolutely beautiful views of sea stacks.
At low tide the hike is mostly a flat beach walk. A few places where you need to use ropes or ladders to go up or down steep areas. Not suitable for small children but confident kids around 10 should be just fine. You can camp on the beach or just off it in the trees. Water can be an issue so just know ahead of time to bring enough or where to find it.
Beautiful beach and amazing views. We went early in the season, March, and only saw 1 other person on the trail and had the beach to ourselves.
This was our stop for one night on the hike from La Push to Oil City. Being right on the beach means that even if the designated spots are full, you can just pitch your tent out on the sand (just be careful about the tides). That’s what we did, and it was quite something to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves and waking up to a low tide, aka a very different landscape than what was there the night before. The other great part about it being on the beach is that there’s plenty of driftwood for your campfire.
One of my most favorite places in the world... with an adventurous hike to get there!
