Tomahawk Park Campground Introduce
**🌟 Introduction / Overview: A Clean and Convenient Stop in Broken Bow**
For Nebraska travelers seeking a high-quality, well-maintained municipal campground, **Tomahawk Park Campground** in Broken Bow is consistently recommended as an excellent choice for both an overnight stop and a multi-day stay. Also known as **Tomahawk Municipal RV Park**, this facility is part of a larger, immaculately kept city park complex that offers a fantastic blend of convenience, essential amenities, and robust recreational opportunities.
Located on the west side of Broken Bow, the campground is praised by local users for its **very clean and well-kept** grounds. The emphasis here is on providing a comfortable, practical experience: the RV sites are noted for being **large and fairly level**, and all sites offer the highly desirable **full hookup**—including water, electric, and sewer. This ease of use, combined with the campground's proximity to a wealth of city park amenities and downtown Broken Bow, makes it a top-tier destination in Custer County. Guests are consistently impressed "at first glance" and appreciate the blend of rural quietude (despite the distant train tracks) and urban accessibility.
**🗺️ Location and Accessibility: Close to Town, Far from Crowds**
Tomahawk Park Campground is ideally situated in **Broken Bow, Nebraska (68822)**, one block north of the intersection of Highway 2 and 15th Street on the west side of town. This central, yet slightly removed location ensures the park is highly accessible for those traveling through Nebraska on major state routes while still offering a sense of separation from heavy traffic.
Address: Broken Bow, NE 68822, USA (Located within Tomahawk Park)
The biggest advantage of the location is its **walkability to downtown Broken Bow**. Guests note the opportunity to explore the town center, which includes local restaurants, small businesses, an affordable movie theater, and grocery stores—all within a reasonable walking distance. This accessibility provides a significant benefit for long-term campers or those needing to quickly restock supplies. Though the campground is near railroad tracks, reviews confirm the distance is sufficient that train noise "isn't too bad," allowing for restful nights. Its integration into the larger city park system means recreational facilities are literally steps away from the campsite.

Customer Reviews
Great place for an overnight stop or a full weekend. We were impressed at first glance and we were still impressed leaving. Very clean and well kept. Rv spots are very big and fairly level. Grass was cut short and there was a playground right next to Rv park. Restrooms and showers were just fine also. Highly recommend!
Not a bad campground. Level sites and full hookup.. The trains run through out the night but the campground is far enough away that the noise isn’t too bad. My only regret is that because of the road resurfacing down town, we didn’t get to walk the town.
Nice, well maintained city campground found in Broken Bow. Most of the pads are gravel with a few concrete pads. Most are basically level and a couple could use some lite grading. Full hookups only. IF it rains heavy, there could be a few puddles in the grass and drive. Two things. 1) DO NOT TURN ONTO 15TH STREET OFF NE 2. The road does pass through a dip where the creek is located and things may not be pretty. The sign should advise people with long RV’s to avoid that dip. 2) Trains. Technology has made them a lot quieter through town than they were years ago. But still, you’ll hear a rumble of trains passing. The only time they’re really bad is if there’s a flat wheel. And I didn’t hear one the two nites we were there. There is a restroom open probably seasonally when people use the picnic and playgrounds across 15TH Street. 3) On occasion, you may sense that there are cattle nearby. It’s not a strong, just sometimes noticeable when the wind blows right. For $20 a night, cash or check, it was convenient with a lot of nice areas to walk around town. If we come back through here again, we would have no issues camping in this campground.
Lovely place to stay for a night! The price has increased from $20 a night to $35 a night. But as a quick stop, it was nice. Full hookups, lots of open spots. Right next to the city park.
Great place for an overnight stop or a full weekend. We were impressed at first glance and we were still impressed leaving.
