Love the cabin we stayed in! So affordable! It had so much space with 2 bunk beds, storage benchs, a small table with chairs, electric and running water. The outside was great! Set back behind the cabin was the fire pit with a picnic table. Clean and quiet! Just loved staying! We also on a pedle boat on the lake. I think it was $4 per person for 30 mins.

This is a nice place for the price. The ladies in the office are very nice. The camping spots are spread out, which is nice. Campers aren't touching each other. It is, however, hard if you have a big camper. They really need to open up the spots a bit more. Our camper is only 27' and we are limited to which sites we could get into. There are lots of trees on each site. Most sites only have a small area for the camper that is level. The rest is not. There is only electric on the sites. You have to fill your tank with water upon arrival. The bath houses were clean, but the shower had very little warm water. My shower was quite cold. There is alot to do... fishing, mini golf, kayaking, hiking, etc. There was a fire ring and picnic table on our site. There is a pool that you can pay to use as well. It is NOT included in the camping. There are really good places to eat nearby.

We was there for 4 days 3 nights tent camping, the park was beautiful and clean the camp ground was just as nice. My only complaint is our first day there we couldn't get anything from the store that was supposedly open but the one person that works there each day is also in charge of cleaning bathrooms and stuff too.... So we couldn't get any wood ice or nothing at the store because from 1-530 we went up every half hour and the signs continuously said cleaning bathrooms. Other than that great trip and the pool right down road was very nice and well run!!

The ladies that work at the office are great hard working and very helpful. On the other hand the park host could do so much more around the campground than he does.

Top of the hill campground sits on top of ridge, tight turns for larger RVs. Would not recommend for anything over 39 feet

This is a state park campground that is tucked in a town, so this is not an isolated campground. Knowing this and managing expectations, it was actually nice, albeit very, very expensive ($71 for 2 nights at a tent site, around $10 per small bundle of kiln dried wood). This campground is mostly an RV / 'camper' campground and I was surprised at how quiet it was; usually that means loud compressors all night, blaring tvs and stereos, and bright lights beaming into the night. When we walked around, it was dead quiet with no one outside (kind of weird because most the rv sites had campers in them, but no one was enjoying the outdoors). Camp store has merchandise and bundles of wood for sale as well as park maps and odds and ends like lighters and firestartees. Has restroom behind czmp store and also one closer to camp loop. Large dumpster by camp store. Tent sites are primarily a gravel pad (obviously you can set up there or dirt, I chose gravel due to rain), a slope, a wood bench, a fire ring, these really nice hammock stands and hangers for hanging stuff at camp. You drive up a hill for the campground, so sites 41 and 42 faces the woods while sites like 38 face the slope of the hill and you can see the road. I saw turkey, bluejay nests, heard choruses of birds, and a toad. Lots of downed wood if you bring a handsaw. Expect to see people walking the loops - everyone was nice and I have no problem with it. I do see some other reviewers whining that someone else dare visit the park they are - this is a small campground that seems to be popular but chill. If you want middle-of-nowhere experience, go to middle of nowhere. I recently had surgery so this was a good choice for me.
