The place is kept very clean from the grounds to the bathrooms. The Outpost or country store has everything else you need or that you forgot at home and you can even rent kayaks or canoes. Trees very low (touching top and upper right lightly)1/2 a mile approaching the entrance. The 3 to 4 miles on Beach road is cleared nicely due to trimming by Milton. Yay! Sand sites. Level. My favorite campground because it literally feels like Jurassic Park. Little ones will be convinced! 😁
One of the best set up campgrounds I've ever been too. Lots of space and trees between campsites to allow for a secluded private feel. Bathrooms were super clean. Lots of trails and space to walk or ride your bike. My ONLY gripe with the place is that the workers drive around in the LOUDEST buggy all day cleaning up campsites. It's very aggravating to try to relax at the site when that is being driven around.
We were pleasantly surprised. The campground was big and not even close to half capacity. I will be taking my fishing pole next time. The showers and bathrooms were well kept up. The August heat was a little uncomfortable, but not any fault of the campground.
