Promotional Information:
Tony Grove Campground in Richmond, UT, offers beautiful lakeside camping with access to hiking trails. However, it's known for closely spaced sites, limited privacy, and a lack of water. Reservations are highly recommended. This campground is very beautiful and definitely worth a try! We were on site 22 and it was just a few minutes walk from the lake. The campsites are right on top of each other, literally zero privacy. They have port a potties available, but the actual bathrooms are closed. There is no water at all, not even a water spigot so make sure to bring your own. Great campground with paved access. Many of the sites are small and bigger campers may have problems getting into their spots. Sites had fire rings and picnic tables. Clean restrooms and trash collection on site but no water for drinking. Tony Grove Lake is beautiful and there is great hiking all around the area. All sites are reservable but the hosts try to accommodate people (like myself) who drop in. I was there almost a week and many of the sites though reserved were empty. They need to block off some sites for FCFS to better serve the public. I was there over a weekend and every site was reserved...but only half were occupied. I'm seeing this trend in many campgrounds near urban or popular areas where people will reserve a site "just in case" they decide want to camp. Over all it's a great place and we had a great time hiking and swimming in the lake. No cell service at the CG.

Tony's Grove Campground is so beautiful, well taken care of, and the camp hosts were very nice. The Lake is stunning, and I love how many trails there are leading to the lake.
My friends and I had a frustrating experience at Tony Grove Campground about a month ago. We arrived at a vacant campsite and began setting up our tents. After we finished, the camp host came over and told us the site was for multi-families only, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere. She also claimed we had arrived "too early," a rule we didn’t know existed. We tried to work with her and offered to pay any extra fees to avoid having to take down our tents. The host said she would grab our payment envelope and bring it back so we could correct it, but we waited over two hours for her return. Eventually, we found her in the parking lot with fishing gear, which was infuriating given the wait. We paid the additional fee, but when I handed her the new envelope, she made a rude comment about one of my friends’ attitudes before driving off. We spent the night but left first thing in the morning. This campground seriously needs a new host who treats visitors with respect and communicates clearly.
Had a great week at Tony Grove. First time there. Beautiful campground with an amazing lake - and hikes up to an even more spectacular lake. Wanted to point out that Colleen who works there was wonderful. Very personable, knowledgeable and helpful. She was a pleasure to work with.
