Toomes Camp Introduce

Toomes Camp, located in Mendocino, CA (coordinates: 40.003004, -122, 759022), is a campground that has historically been used for outdoor recreation, particularly hunting. As part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, it provides a natural setting for camping and related activities.

According to customer reviews, Toomes Camp has a history of being a popular hunting spot. One reviewer mentioned going there as a child for hunting trips. However, the review also notes a change in the camp's atmosphere during deer season. Specifically, it mentions that the campground becomes "over ran" by people from Southern California who "act like they own the campground." This suggests that the area can become crowded and potentially less enjoyable during peak hunting times.

This information highlights the importance of considering the timing of your visit to Toomes Camp. If you are planning a trip during deer season, be prepared for potential crowding and a less tranquil environment. For those seeking a quieter experience, it may be advisable to visit during off-peak seasons.

Toomes Camp offers a camping location with a history of hunting activity. Potential visitors should be aware of potential crowding issues during deer season.
