It's hard to imagine a state park better than Topsail Hill Preserve. This park has beach, nature trails, lake and campground. Restrooms were clean on my visit, and everything appeared to be well maintained. If you are planning to visit the beach portion of the park, you have to either take the tram or walk a decent distance. It's not too far, but if you are carrying items (such as towels, bags, chairs, cooler, etc), it might be difficult or inconvenient.
Beautiful park! Very affordable. For a car with one person it is 4$, for a car with 2+, I believe it is 6$. The beaches were spectacular-exceeded our expectations. White, pristine sand and gorgeous blue waters. Well maintained trails with concrete and there are trams available for those who maybe can't walk as far. While the park is dog friendly, the beaches are not, so just be weary of that. Wonderful place to enjoy the sunshine!
Stunning park with sand dunes, coastal scrub, lakes and pine forests! The trails are relatively short and we finished in 2 days. The park is incredibly well maintained, trails well labeled, multiple bathrooms, and picnic spots. The campgrounds are some of the best we've camped at, with water, electricity and a fire ring! Highly recommend the Morris lake trail, there's nothing like hiking through the pristine dunes!
An Awesome FL State Park! We Came in Mid-November. It’s a busy campground, so you must book months in advance, if wanting to stay for several days. It was our First time staying here. No frills….the beach and 30A are the attractions! Stayed in site 54, in a 40” fifth wheel RV~site definitely not the ideal spot for bigger RV’s. Back in site, FHU’s worked well. Trees were challenging for our RV door & slide outs. But…we made it work! 🙌🏼 There are lots of pine trees, so Starlink reception depends on your site location. T-Mobile worked ok. Laundry room and dumpsters are across from this site, and playground caddy corner, so lots of people around. Best sites for big rigs and more privacy, are #100 & up. The tent sites are secluded & fantastic, with bathhouse, ADA sites and parking by the sites. A few glamping tents, and cabins for rent. We saw several deer at this area. The beach is remote, clean, and accessible by bikes,Tram, or walking. There is plenty of bike parking, at the beach. There are bike rentals at the camp-store. There is a guard gate at arrival, and coded gate entry at sunset. Pool is nice, not heated though. Camp-store has a small cafe attached (being remodeled while we were there) with souvenirs, and a few necessities. CG Close to Walmart and restaurants. Fun to walk, or ride bikes, down 30A.
Despite being a Floridian the water was a bit too chilly, but the emerald-colored waters were still as beautiful as always. The weather was perfect for hiking the 4.5 mile loop north of Campbell lake.
