🌳Lovely Spot - Close to Library; Lots of History🌳 Just a short walk away from the Redwood Library, Touro Park is a perfect spot to stretch your legs, get your steps in, and enjoy nature (four-legged friends are welcomed!). There are places shaded by trees, and several benches as well. Purchased in 1865 and named in memory of Judah Touro, the park features multiple tributes/statues to historical events and persons, including the Shimoda Tomodachi Declaration and the Newport Tower. Plaques alongside these monuments provide the history and legacy of those honored.

A beautiful large park with lots of places to sit and relax. Get a coffee or lunch at a nearby restaurant and enjoy the day. There are plenty of trash cans. There are a few statues to look at. Lots of different trees, some labeled, so it can also be a teaching park.

A very small, but clean park. With interesting things to see. There are plenty of benches to enjoy the day. Doggie bags are also provided, so bring your dog fir a stroll, as long as you pick up after him.
