We came here and stayed on site 5 for a night. It was absolutely beautiful. We had view of the river, and we could hear it, too. There was plenty to hike and explore. The history of the tower was really neat. There was access to all three levels. The cave was cool. The gazebo was my favorite part. Be mindful of bats during hibernation- look up white nose syndrome. I have all good and beautiful things to say about or stay.

Beautiful!!! A short distance, but steep incline trail which is perfect for a quick break from the road, and a chance to get moving after driving for a while. I’m glad I found this spot. The parking lot is big and even midday on a Saturday. There was plenty of room for my 28 foot RV.

Tower Hill State Park is a beautiful place to visit. It is nestled in the heart of Wisconsin's Driftless Area. Tower Hill overlooks the meandering Wisconsin River and has long been a popular site for picnics and bird watching. It is also a great place to explore the history of the area. Tower Hill is home to a shot tower, which was used to fire lead shot for hunting and fishing. The shot tower is about 30 feet tall and dates back to 1848. You can also take a short walk along the bluff, which overlooks the river. Some trails are closed and in disrepair. Camping. Kayaking. Fishing. Hiking.

Great view and breezy on top of shot tower. Maps are posted throughout park and trails are nicely paved. It only took about 5 minutes of walking from the parking lot to the tower. There are a handful of flies in the shot tower building, but not enough to scare me away! Lots of great educational information in the smelter-house. The trail to the tunnel was blocked off due to repairs (July 2021). Only wish there was an electronic kiosk for a parking pass. I had to fill out a paper envelope and pay with cash/check.
