This is a beautiful area. This campground was almost eerily quiet this summer. It may have been because the main road was closed and we had to take a detour to get there. There is a private property next to the campground from which there was gunshots every morning which was a little unnerving for this Canadian.
The owners are very welcoming. For a campground the RV sites are nice. We have stayed at Tower Rock Campground 3 separate times and enjoyed each one. The view of the actual Tower Rock formation is picturesque. Hope to spend many trips here.
Beautiful space: tons of huge trees, beautiful sites and friendly hosts. It is a good idea to make reservations ahead of time, although there are some first come, first serve spots. The area is pretty isolated; this is great if you just want to camp with maybe one day trip. Also, check out the cave nearby! Just don't drive too far up the mountain or you'll get stuck.
Great place super quiet and clean. Camp hosts were fantastic! Near Angel falls which is a steep hike but so worth it.
Wonderful first stay at Tower Rock! Host was friendly, mostly tent campers, quiet, and clean restrooms. Easier drive than Iron Creek and plenty of close-by hikes to explore. Water is rusty so we brought our own. No river access from the campground.
